meguiar's #16 alternative

Just put the wax on; you're overthinking it. If you feel like re-waxing it with something else later, that's OK, too. Just put it on. It's going to look like whatever you last used.

excellent. thanks for the tip. so if, in the future, i do put the tech wax over the 16, would another coat of 16 over the tech wax be necessary, or would that just defeat the purpose of putting the extra coat of the 16 on?

thanks scott. i used the 16 last night. i wasn't expecting a difference in the 16 and the mothers carnuba that i applied last week, but let me tell you, this stuff kicks ***! i actually can see more depth, more blue, and more gloss in the paint than yesterday.

i don't know what it is with me - either i apply too much product, i don't let it sit long enough, or a combo of the both, but everytime i apply a wax, the next day (cause i usually do it at night), i see kind of a haze in certain spots on the paint. luckily for me, there were only a couple of places where 16 hazed. i buffed it right out with a MF though.

thanks for the recommendation on 16, scott. this is definitely what will make people look at my car and say, "my god, that's beautiful!" i used to wish more autopians were around my area, and/or that more people detailed their car as well as i did. now that i see how great my car looks, and that 99% of the cars on the road don't hold a candle to the looks of my car, i actually feel more proud of my work (and obviously my ride). :)
