I am not sure if I did not see thing wright because of the speed but,

I think you should spend some time reading on this site

about how to wash tour car correctly

haha. no two bucket method. Thats why I have them. Also rims first, with separate sponge, then car with mitt. I didn't film drying but used the absorber and the second round with a waffle weave.

sushifest, run away while you still can! The word "absorber" is on the banned list around these here parts. :scared:

P.S. Cool video from an artistic stand point! :bigups

haha thanks. But why is the absorber bad? I dont wipe with it. I kinda lightly slap it on to get rid of excess water so it doesnt run across the surface.

Why is the absorber bad? Many people (including me) still use it. I always blot it, just as I do with my WW also after my first round with the Absorber. As long as you don't drag it, it will do a great job...

You washed the wheels and then washed the paint with the same bucket of soap? :shocked

separate sponge for the rims. I do the rims first because I want it to be dry when I spray it with the rim cleaner.

It may be different sponges, but your wash solution is the same. Brake dust is very abrasive, so all the dirt you washed off your rims is being rubbed into the paint when you dip your mitt into the same wash solution.

Everything should be kept seperate... Nothign should be shared.

I dont use the same solution. I spray with rim cleaner, use sponge for rims. Then use a mitt for my car with bucket' o meguiars. Everything is separate.

Damn guys, give the guy a break! Cool video and your washing process looks ok to me, you washed the wheels with seperate cleaners, used a nice fresh wash mitt/bucket of soap for the car, and stuck to the top panels down then worked on the bumpers....and what is wrong with the absorber? I use it for every car I do, even on my 03 Mach 1 and I have never had any problems with it nor have I seen any additional marring come out of it....:nixweiss...but, I dont use it for the bumpers/lower doors or behind my rear wheels, I use a crappier absorber for those areas

Agreed. Notice how we haven't even welcomed sushifest to the club yet, but are only flaming him for little things. A few reminders are fine, though, right, sushifest? We're just trying to help each other out on this forum :)

And, let me welcome you first to autopia! Hope you enjoy your stay here :)

Can I also ask why the Absorber is bad? I have been using it for years and love it. Of course, I am in the market for a WW but I wash my Absorber after every drying session and get have to have issues. Especially with a properly waxed/sealed finish, it works effectively.

Please explain...
