I went from daily driving a 2011 Wrangler to a 2015 WRX. I think I may have washed the Jeep 5 times over these past 4 years. It just looks good dirty. Now that I have the WRX, I want to keep the soft paint as pristine as possible. My friends and family think that it is strange that a girl has become so obsessed with car detailing. I find it to be therapeutic.
I have been using the following:
Bucket and Grit guard x 2
Microfiber wash mitt x 2
Autosmart quick detailer
Autosmart APC
Duragloss 111
Duragloss AquaWax
Meguiars clay bars
Rolling utility cart (LOVE it)
Rolling detailing stool
303 Aerospace Protectant
Boars Hair detailing brushes
Rubber brush to pick up hair
36 pack of MF towels from Costco
CG glass waffle towel
Stoners glass cleaner
Speedmaster wheel brush
GG DA polisher (6") - haven't used it yet
BlueMagic metal polish and #0000 steel wool for the exhaust
Absorber drying towel (I thoroughly rise it before every use to make sure it is clean of debris)
Products I will be switching out once they are done, mainly just to try new stuff:
Meguiars Hot Rims cleaner (I will get some Iron X)
CG 5050 paste wax (works fine, but I want to try a liquid wax next, like Collinite 845)
Eagle One tire shine (not really happy with it)
Products I will get in the future:
Some sort of trim restorer - thinking about GTechniq C4
Electric blower
Duragloss 601
foam gun
Meguiars MF polish kit - 4 MF pads and compounds.
Thanks for all the information I have been absorbing and I look forward to seeing all of your before and after pictures.
