Looking for a small, powerful and very cool wet/dry vac?

If you are tight on space but need a powerful vacuum then look into this 5hp model by Rigid.

It can actually be mounted on the wall and it comes with an extra long hose. Since I am mobile that won't work but it is light enough to carry with no problem and it takes up so much less space.

I added wheels to mine

It costs around $75 and for me just the small compact size, and still keeping the hp of my older and much larger vaccum, is a good enough reason to get one. It's also quiet.

Oh man now I wanna return my vac and grab that one! How much did it cost to get those casters on?

They cost a few bucks. There are holes in the bottom tank that MIGHT fit some stem casters. While your at Home Depot you should test fit them.

I had these caster laying around the garage

Yeah, I'm going to pick one of those up. My regular size vac is getting to be a pain to lug around. Thanks for posting a nice pic of it.

This Vac really Sucks!:rofl in a good way.

Anthony replaced my stolen one with one of these.

Thanks Bud.

I have not dressed mine up in High Heals and a Skirt yet.:woot2:

LOL.....I have a casual skirt and then a dinner skirt for the vac.

I replaced Rons vac when it was stolen with this model, liked it so much that Ron returned the favor:xyxthumbs

It works great! And with the longer hose it doesn't need to be right there with you but you can have it some distance away from you. Ron may mount his in his truck with the optional cage that comes with it OR mount it on the wall in his shop.

I have the same unit and am very impressed with it. It's got plenty of power. I'm going to do mobile detailing this spring and it fits in my trunk perfectly. I just bought a Bissell LGCM last night and it will find a home right next to the vac.

If you will be adding wheels to this particular wet/dry vac and plan on screwing them into the bottom unit I would suggest you silicone them from the inside to prevent leaking if you vacuum up wet materials.

Here is my vac with its attached "skirt":D

This is an AutoBoss wrap that was made for 5 gallon wash buckets but I found them to be handy on wet/dry vacs as well as they can hold all your interior cleaning goodies:up

Great tip Anthony :up

The list of detailer goodies available at Home Depot continues to grow!

That looks like an excellent option. At work I use a 5 hp shop vac brand shop vac and would never consider anything less powerful. It's 12 gallon, but I never let it fill up more than like 2-3 in on the bottom because I get sick of lugging it around so a smaller vac with the same power would be something to think about (for myself...not for the dealership)...how often do you guys have to empty this thing?

I'll definitely look into that one when my Craftsman dies...which hopefully won't be too soon.

Does it convert to a blower?

Scott.....nope, no blower option BUT you can just reverse the hose hook up I presume to connect to the rear vent.

Anyone try this yet?
