Look at what Autopia did to my car !

My car turned ten years old yesterday and decided to detail it as a gift. After ten years of faithful service and 80,000 miles of reliable service, i decided to apply the knowledge i gained from this wonderful forum to properly clean the car.

I have learned a wealth of information from this site, but one thing i learned is that we can not expect a miracle from any product. PAtience, elbow grease and proper technique is 90% the key to produce good results (IMO). No matter how good the product is, it wont give you the Autopian shine if not used properly.

In this case, i used Meguiar's No. 9, followed by No.7, then topped by Gold class. I am still waiting for my pinnacle detail kit.

Thanks for listening

Thanks for all the encouragement. I am still very much a newbie and i still have to learn a lot of things about detailing. However, it is very rewarding to see all the effort that we put into the cars that we love. The six hours of painstaking washing, polishing, glazing, waxing and buffing is all worth it.

Ejant, for some reason i could not let go of this car, never gave me a headache. I recently bought a 2002 530i, but i am still waiting for delivery, it is sterling grey. I wonder how souveran will work on that color...

Here's another pic of my 10 year old baby.
