While it's not the lightest metallic in the world, the Rhodium Metallic (SS laquer) on my Jag was matched *INCREDIBLY* well by my "good" painter. Dunno how he did it, or how many tries he took, but I (one seriously discerning guy

But other than that instance, yeah...people usually have unrealistic expectations.
I've had plenty of spot-ins done via small paintguns that were undetectable, but once you start including pro spraying it's a different ballgame.
