Meg's Back to Black-used once, tossed it in the dumpster. Knuckleheads who buy Souveran buy 1 get 1 and then try to sell the other jar to fellow Autopians for profit-get a job.

Meguiars doesnt make back to black, mothers does.

Ive also heard that people do not like mothers B2B since it runs about like water.

SIP can be a very finicky prouct. I always grab for it when polishing, but it probably only works great on 6 out 10 cars. I can get grabby or heat the paint up when it acts funny (by rotary). By the flipside, when it works well, it is amazing. I would say it is probably my favorite medium polish overall (because its so great when its on).

Hey Todd, I have heard on hard clear, SIP works its best. On soft paint, SIP will give you head aches. Do you find this to be true?

Mothers B2B needs to be applied correctly (not wipe on/wipe off). You apply generously, let it soak and then buff off. Repeat. It seems to work great on some surfaces and not much on others (better than 50/50) so I can see how someone thinks it does not work after just one use.

I've used SIP on yellow paint without a clearcoat, and it worked incredibly well! :xyxthumbs

Is yellow paint w/o a clearcoat hard or soft? I guess I am not able to determine if you are agreeing or disagreeing with me.

I don't know myself! ;)

I do believe the yellow paint on my Mazda is pretty soft though, as it mars fairly easily.

I'll list a few......

Eagle One Nanowax - Lasted about 2 weeks, atleast I only paid $1 for it at a swap meet. Seems to work pretty good when you mix a little with your favorite quick detailer.

Any thick, clear tire gel (Black Magic, TW Platinum) - Impossible to remove and just looks nasty.

Malco Restore-It - Actually worked really well before it turned to water. I guess it goes bad.

845IW - This post has already had disagreements about this one. It was easy to use, I just didn't get the durability I expected. Maybe I expected too much?

I've been pretty happy with it on soft clears... I find that switching from an orange LC to a white one for softer clears solves most of my headaches as far as skipping and grabbing. It's actually my favorite compound for soft paints as it tends to leave a pretty glossy finish behind.

#5 glaze: dusts like crazy even when hand applied

#7 glaze: too difficult to use and doesn't last at all. too many other glazes (dwg) that work better. also smells like vomit

clearkote carnauba wax: mutes metallic flake and is huge dust magnet
