3M Dark Car Swirl Mark Remover - "remover" is not the right word. Met it's end at the rifle range.

CG O-Shine - Thick, slingly crap. Met it's end at the rifle range.

Some of these met their end b/c of anger from school. I either threw them while shouting the hated classes name, or blasted them with my 12ga. blaming it on college instructors

Adam's Butter Wax

Mother's Back to Black - Decent but found a replacement with Adam's VRT

Eagle One NevR Dull - Works well but like Mother's Mag & Alum polish better

Black Magic Wet Shine Liquid Wax - Doesn't matter how thin its applied, sucks to remove and the look is very marginal for an OTC.

XMT Polishes – Didn’t do a thing for me, 106FF and 85RD for superior.

Zaino ZPC – Left hazing in dark colors just like stated on Zaino website – when is this going to get fixed.

Poor boys Yellow Moose. Doesn’t seem to do anything - Love RMG.

Micro Fiber wash mitts

Zaino Clear Seal – Only thing this accomplishes in make the surface less slick.

NXT Auto Shampoo – kills a lot waxes.

Pinnacle Paint Cleansing Lotion – Worthless.

Pinnacle Leather Treatment – Leaves white residue.

Wolfgang Sealants – I have older versions looks good but doesn’t last but a few weeks.

Brandon, I can't believe you listed SIP. I think SIP might be the best of the Menzerna lineup. Dennis, I think you meant Clearkote Yellow Moose. I didn't like it either. It muted the RMG something aweful.

I have couple more to add (reading this got me fired up and I realized I missed a few)...

3M Perfect It 3000 Swirl Remover- Cakes up in seconds, and does nothing else. Makes a mess of the paint, impossible to remove... Seriously the worst polish ever (if Ultra Fina and Extra Cut are so good, how can this product from the 3000 line be so bad?!)

Black Magic Tire Shine- I so agree with this turd of a product. I have tried to remove it from tires so many times... I usually scrub the tires with dawn and degreaser, which lessnes the shine and gives the product a nice look.

Surf City Glaze- Wipe on, work in, cannot remove. Over and over again. The directions state to wipe on and work in until dry. Which I do, then I cannot remove it, it just turns to concrete on the paint.

Kiwi Carnauab Wax- Nobody probably remembers this ultimate wax. Kiwi (the shoe polish maker) came out with a car care line 12 years ago. Their flagship wax was one big streak. Impossible to apply evenly, and it left the streakiest surface every (the streaks would go away in two or three weeks, which ironically was how long the product lasted).

Hitachi Rotary- Great tool if your thumb isn't moving the speed dial by accident everytime you set it down. Coupled with the fact that I am on my 4th in 9 months (and have 4 years and 3 months left on my warrently) and I use it as a backup makes thing an offical turd. My fourth replacement (used twice) now spins freely when I plug it into the wall (at about 600 rpm).

SIP.. weird.

SIP can be a very finicky prouct. I always grab for it when polishing, but it probably only works great on 6 out 10 cars. I can get grabby or heat the paint up when it acts funny (by rotary). By the flipside, when it works well, it is amazing. I would say it is probably my favorite medium polish overall (because its so great when its on).

However, a couple bad experiences with it could soil the product for anybody. Lets remember that this thread is based on personal experiences only, which is why it is so fun. It should be taken as a light-hearted rant and nothing more.

1. CG Air Fresheners - Biggest waste of money EVER. It doesn't even work as the scents disappear right away. I've yet to be blown away by any CG product so far.

2. NXT Liquid v1 - Looks great for 2 washes ONLY.

3. NXT Spray Wax - Takes longer to apply than NXT Liquid. Why even bother?

There are other products that I probably can't think off the top of my head, but these are the just the ones that I feel I should have gotten my money back as they were useless products to me.

I can't believe so many people list nxt. I actually enjoy it, and its smell. I think it works fine for me. But, then again thats just my experience.

I don't particularly care for my meg's waffle weave towels....

a few i can think of at the moment (in no order)...

CG's microfibers (i like their ultra-soft waffle weave though)

AA ultra shine wash & wax soap

edge foam detailing sticks

i'll add more as i think of them...

Turtle Wax Clear View Glass Cleaner. Clear view? Ha!

Poorboy's SSR2.5-leaves a nasty haze on softer paints.

Formula 113-okay shine but dusts like crazy and even here in Dallas, poor durability.

Any cutting pad with the rotary-buffer trails and hazing, foam works so much better.

Surf City Glaze- Wipe on, work in, cannot remove. Over and over again. The directions state to wipe on and work in until dry. Which I do, then I cannot remove it, it just turns to concrete on the paint.

Interesting....Its a post wax product in case you didnt know.....I had the same issue, and called them. He explained the theory to me which made since, and I have used (all glazes) that way ever since without too many issues.

Andyway, back to the thread, things I wasnt real impressed with, but are "ok":

SSr2.5

EX

EXP

NXT

Just about all glass cleaners except Sprayway

RMG

(I'll come back and add more later Im sure)

Blackfire Claybar Cleaner and Extender - this stuff has made every clay bar I've tried it on turn to mush. Every bar would have lasted longer without using the 'extender'.

Black Baron Pad Lube - makes too many polishes act funny. Seems to be petroleum based. Just use mist of distilled water now.

Megs Endurance Tire gels - (Hi gloss & satin) - what a mess they make. Do not spread well. Bought 6 bottles of satin at BigLots based on other's claims here. Not sure what to do with it. It doesn't even apply to the wheel wells easily.

LC CCS green pads from AG and CG. Coaser than the orange. The CG orange pads are very stiff.

CMA variable contact CCS pads backing material. I love their orange and especially the green pads but every 6.5" pad I have has had the backing at least partially peel off. They need to use a thicker backing fabric and extend the fabric out further to about 1/4" from the pad edge so that the backing plate doesn't dig into and cut that blue foam.

Utlima detail spray - only use it to mist the MF to wipe down any streaking when layering PPG.

PB SSR Polishes

Mothers Back to Black

NXT Spray Wax

NXT Wax (looks good durability is horrible)

NXT Tire Shine

Optimum Tire Shines
