I thought some others may have chimed in about the griots polish, maybe a search will throw up some more info on them. Some of the fave polishes here are Menzerna, 1Z and Meguiars, all easily available (Menzerna and 1Z from US).
If you've only got the standard PC foam pad, I would suggest a 5" flexible backing plate and a selection of foam pads (cutting, polishing and finishing) from the autopia shop (link at top right). Others have recently bought pads from detailersparadise, I haven't looked at the website yet.......I daren't or another order will land on my doorstep
A selection of quality MF's (AG) and other products can be obtained from Alex at
www.seriousperformance.co.uk . You can also buy stuff from the US very easily and with the current exchange rate there's never been a better time to buy. For MF's in US there is Ranney at pakshak and Patrick at exceldetail to name 2, there was another recent thread that listed others
There are many products you could use next. Sealants, glazes, sealants topped with wax, glazes topped with wax or just wax
Look through 'click and brag' and find the posts by scottwax. He's always got pics of wet looking cars and a list of the products he uses for each one. That would be a good starting point, then just see what everyone else uses on the same colour car as you have.
Find the products which give you the appearance you want and then search for info about the product. How easy is it to apply, remove, does it streak, how long does it last, what problems have people had using it etc.
You will find that on here, there are no 'best' products. Everyone has there faves and quite often they may buy somat, use it, don't like it and then try it again later when they have more info about it and then they like it.
Hope this hasn't confused you too much
