I'm looking for a nice license plate frame for my rear plate, and I came across a vendor on Ebay that sells "Zoom-Zoom" plate frames. They sell chrome ones and black ones.

Which one do you like better? I think they'd both go well with the car. The chrome matches the clean/shiny paint and chrome exhaust tip, and the black matches the color scheme (black tint, black tires, black trim...).

Thanks for your opinions. :)

Do they have chrome chain link frames that say "Zoom Zoom?"

If so, I'd go with that.

Why the Zoom Zoom? Isn't that kind of cheesey when you think about it?

Why not a nice clean chrome frame like these:

Chrome looks good. A couple cars I wash regularly have it and its a nice subtle touch.

I'm surprised that most people are going with chrome.

I try not to draw any attention to my plate. In fact I wish I could leave them off entirely.

I don't have my front plate on, but I'm worried about the plate corroding and harming the paint behind it. There's already an outline of discoloration around the edges of the plate, which I need to work on. Maybe I should do that now...

There's also this one:

But I think I like the Zoom Zoom ones better.

"Zoom-Zoom" is the Mazda slogan. What's wrong with that, on a Mazda?

I know. I think its corny and the commercials are annoying. I'm not a fan of tacky slogan advertising on cars.

That other one is nice if in chrome or even the black.

Well, if I did decide that I didn't like it, it would just be a welcome addition to the rest of my accessory collection in the garage (Injen CAI, Injen plate frame, chrome FSTB, and chrome performance muffler from Maxima, Ebay FSTB for Protege that didn't even fit...). :)

I think you should either get plain chrome. Or maybe a chrome one that says "protege" on it? And yeah don't go with the "zoom-zoom"

I didn't like the idea of a "Protege" frame because the Protege emblem is right there next to it. It's already pretty obvious that it's a Protege. And a Protege is nothing to be celebrating, honestly.

zoom zoom represents the sporty nature of the Mazda line of vehicles. When spring comes, it will perfectly match my driving style (particularly on curvy roads of course). :)

Maxy! i vote for chrome....I like the look. A word of warning, though...BUY good ones-I bought "inexpensive ones" and I am regretting it now-they have "pitted" from the salt.... :angry

I don't think the chrome would even be that obvious against the glossy silver paint. I was looking at some pics of my car, and I think the black would attract too much attention.

No license plate frame at all -- it's just useless weight.

Agreed, it's not much weight, but what's the point?

If anything, black. But on my cars, nothing.

Go for chrome.... I think black goes more with darker colors while chrome is more for lighter colors. Does any other part of your exterior have chrome bits on it?

The exhaust tip is stainless, but looks like chrome.

Other than that, the wheels are silver alloys and kept shiny as can be. But no, there's no actual chrome on the car except the chrome-finish emblems.

ceiol - I don't like to have the corroding edges of my plate touching the paint. I want something to hold the plate away from the paint.
