AMG Classic Car Detailing
It saves the car manufacturer money in the long run.I find it hard to believe that's single stage paint...on a new car...it may not have a clear coat...but it will have some sort of additive to the paint for protection...I was reading about this on another site...can't recall which one...I'll look for it
That's true.there are a few still made :notme:
Some companies are doing this practice and more are jumping in are this process. I had a new G37 which has this type of finish. This is not the same single stage paint of the 60's American cars...in what I read its a single process that they put on the car...mean its the base coat and clear mixed together....eliminating one process...time and money saver and creates a harder finish.
I'm looking for the article that I read on it.
Very true Steve. It seems the new way. Is to switch over to latex based paints and with Hard CC's. Some are mixed together to save a company money in the process. Paint finishes are not going to be the same that we all know in the future.correct, but it will still give off color when polished![]()
