What I was saying is that many people are BRAND LOYAL. Whether it be Sal's products, or Clearkote, or JW, or anything else. THey dont care if the results dont match up. They will swear by them.

With all due respect. That comment is completely ridiculous. Why would anyone do such a thing for any product or brand? A product either works or it doesn't. No amount of "false" razes will change the truth.

Not sure where people are getting reports of CS not being a 9 month stand alone LSP. Only beta testers have had such exposure to this product. Seems quite durable to me so far on a 24/7 Escalade (5 months and counting and NO Z8 or Z6).

CS does not need a topper of any sort to reach this 9 month goal in ideal conditions.

Will CS give you a lightyear change in appearance over a well-prepped finish treated with another LSP? No, but there is a subtle change that is obvious in most cases. Not a carnuaba-like change (optical distortions) but a "glow" or "crystalline" type change where the hue of the paint is augmented.

I think that's spot on. Which leads me to the question of why the heck would someone feel the need to upgrade the durability of the already durable Z2/Z5 duo? Won't 2 coats of Z2 last 6+ months anyway?

I mean where does it end? We've got tiny, 8 oz bottle of sealant for almost 20 bucks, then ZFX, then CS, and in the end, you've got 8oz of $80 sealant with all the "extras." I was looking at the Zaino site last night and his prices for other tiny 8oz bottle are astronomical. It's weird to see someone charge 3 bucks for a terry applicator too! :hairpull

Here's the deal with Zaino. YOU DO NOT NEED EVERY PRODUCT. You could use ZAIO and get 3-5 months durability by itself without any other product. You could top with Z2pro/CS/Z8 if you WANT TO. Zaino designed each product to compliment each other and many do multiple layers for additional depth, gloss and protection. ZAIO by itself is as durable or more durable than most other sealants on the market. BTW a bottle of ZAIO and CS will last 3-5 years depending on number of applications and the number of vehicles it's used on. The initial price is very deceiving because most have found Zaino to spread much farther than other products.

Please, make it stop.

Can we please get back on-topic, without the product wars and the drama? Please?

Wish I had more cars to test more combos of products with. I would like to see how much longer a carnuba like Natty's Blue would last with CS on it. I have been trying to line up 3 different cars for a detail on friday, maybe one of them will come thru.

How long should we wait after applying NB or PS, to apply CS?

Wouldn't it be a shock if you found out that the product/chemical in that 8oz bottle cost about $.50??:D

I guess many think the sum of all the parts of a Porsche, Viper, Vette equals their asking price. :wall

Waiting for my CS to apply it on the Nattty's Blue on my black Audi.... Can't wait.

Not sure I follow your math. I just checked the zaino site and did not find 8oz of any product with a cost of $80.

Z2 $15

ZFX $30

CS $30

Shipping $5-$10

Was just saying that it's made to be so "all or none," no one would be using CS without the Z2/Z5 underneath, and Zaino sure makes us know it that ZFX is needed. $80 LSP. :dig

ZFX is $20.00

ZFX is not needed unless you do not prep the finish with Z1 or ZAIO. ZFX can be completely eliminated if ZAIO is the base for Z2/5PRO.

Zaino is a "system" that can be mixed and matched to one desires with perfect compatibility and adjusted to one's appearance specifications.

Heck! At the prices of some "premium" priced waxes one can have the whole Zaino set-up. I'm just not following the pricing problem. Will Zaino ever be in the same pricing structure as a Chemical Guy re-mixed product. No.

It all depends on what "you" want from a paint protection product. Some find it in an OTC available product, some in a can, some from a bottle, and some never at all.:cooleek:

and with that this thread is doomed to be locked.
Yep. I should have just locked it before, but I thought the kitten pic would lighten the mood enough to keep the thread from spiraling out of control. Apparently I underestimated the power of the funny animal picture, and overestimated the maturity of some of the posters on this thread.

Those of you who were pushing the envelope with the tone of your posts, consider this a warning. Next time, timeouts get handed out. Then comes the banstick, and I really like to reserve that for spammers only, so please, don't push it.

Thanks,
