Latest Acquisition: Meguiar's M101

David, when Charlie mention "pics from David" I really had a feeling that was gonna be the pic you were going to post. No kidding. And I also had a feeling that perhaps you could spare a sample. "Know whatta mean, Vern?" Anyhow, yeah, Michigan is rockin' on the Detailing. Nice to see. Derek

Charlie, not sure if this has been answered, but how does it compare to UNOv4?

I would say UNOv4, which I've only used one time so far as well, is probably more comparable to M105 than it is to M101 in terms of the level of cut I was getting. As a few others have also experienced, I'm going to have to play with my technique a bit to get the UNO finishing down properly -- it left just a bit of haze behind that I had to finish down with 85RD.

So, take that for what it's worth at this point (which is not much, admittedly). My intention within the next week or two is to find a good test vehicle or at least use a test panel to do a direct side-by-side comparison between a few different products including M101, M105, UNOv4, and possibly Menzerna S-500. I'll be posting both pics and HD video when I do that "compound shootout."

Charlie....

Glad you mentioned the hazing from Uno. I had hazing after using a white ccs pad. Still not sure why. Same as you, I followed it with 85rd. Perfect.

Couldn't haze UNO even if I tried hard. Maybe a bad batch? Send me some to try it (if you want to) and lets see.

Does anyone know if it's possible to get this in Canada? Also, hi everyone. :)

I'm sure it's just as possible to import it to Canada from Europe/Asia as it is to import it to the US.... but they don't sell it natively :(

Incidentally I'd say welcome back, but I think you joined up after I was placed on involuntary hiatus

Hi guys. :) Glad to see a lot of familar faces. Things are great! Hope you're all keeping well too. Thanks for the info Mr. Hahn. Shame it's such a hassle, looks like a great product.

OK folks, I have a question:

IF more M101 were to become available in either quarts or gallons, how many of you would have a serious interest in purchasing some, and would you rather have a gallon, or a quart? Multiple gallons or quarts?

Just trying to judge interest.
