Latest Acquisition: Meguiar's M101

Tim is entitled to his opinion.

Based on what he knows about me, he couldn't possibly know that I did all of the searching and negotiating to purchase the batch of M101 I am selling on my own, that I put up my own money to bring it here, or that I did it in an effort to make the product more easily accessible to detailers here in the US.

He couldn't possibly realize that the developer who is working on my website is actually a customer of mine who I bartered with instead of charging him cash.

He apparently hasn't seen any of the write-up threads I've done that feature pictures I have taken myself, that are posted with the only alteration being re-sizing them for the forum.

If his opinion is that I can't "walk the walk" because I haven't had the opportunity to use M101 extensively (due to a number of factors not totally within my control) that's his right. At the end of the day, I know the truth of the matter and there's no skin off of my nose.

Good reply Charley. I know that for myself that things come across the keyboard that look different then they would have in a face to face conversation. I for one am glad you brought this m101 to the attention of the forum. After the small trial I was involved in I knew that with no pictures my experience wouldn't carry much weight in the detailing community. I have tried to respect those who give their time and effort to help those of us that are trying to improve their game. I understand that we will not always agree but I have hope we can avoid the drama that serves no positive purpose. Just an old mans 2 cents.

Nice post Charlie. Hope your all had a good time at the auto show.

Derek

Thanks Derek. The auto show/lunch meet was awesome! Too bad you weren't able to make it out this time; we'll be meeting again in the spring so maybe you can come for that.

I'll post the few pics I took at the show soon; hopefully Fermani gets the ones he took at the show/at lunch uploaded soon as well.

Sorry everyone (especially Charlie) I was out of line with my harsh and abrasive comments and should not have been posting anywhere in the terrible mood I was in last night. Sometimes stress gets the better of me.

I have felt bad about it all day and am relieved to be taking this opportunity to to insert my foot deeply into my mouth and apologize for letting lack of maturity get the better of me. Short and simple I was completely in the wrong.

Thanks for taking my ill vibes like a champion Charlie. I will be in touch when I have some more time.

Tim you just helped restore my faith in the idea most of the members here are of outstanding quality. Maybe I don't need to be on a half dozen other forums.LOL.

Tim, thank you for setting things straight. I think we've all been there at one time or another; I know I definitely have!

Jason, does he know you didn't get that at the polish market? That might wipe the smile off his face :chuckle:

FYI WHY IT IS NOT FOR SALE IN THE USA..... :usa: Google Translate

As you can see I posted on that German detailing forum asking if anybody knew which retailer might carry M101. I think a few of them got it confused with the Meguiars coating. So nobody on that forum really knows why its not for sale in the US. They also claimed it was not for sale in Germany, I'm pretty sure it is. :)
