Lambo vs. Supra. WOW.

Wow - I wonder if these guys new one another and it was a planned sort of thing to show off the power of the Supra or if it was kinda a random challenge.

I don't speak Spanish so I have no idea what they are saying and as you can see I am not up on the racing lingo haha

I saw this video linked on another forum and it is said that the driver in the lamborghini owns both the supra and lambo. He prob just made the video to show what both cars (supra in particular maybe?) are capable of though it doesn't look like they are really racing.

Here's another one with a view from the Supra.

UPDATE Supra in car video vs LP640!! - Video

Oh yeah, thats definitely a tuned supra. I like both cars for different reasons.

It was planned. See how they both have cameras pointed at each other?

I think the guy in the Lambo is not pushing the car. I do believe that Supra is ridiculously fast, but not that fast.

There are *many* Supra's out there that are well in excess of 700hp. I haven't looked at the video but just making the statement.

Yeah, they could have picked a different color. My buddy has owned several supra's. He'll take the twin turbos off and put one big single turbo. Those cars will haul some serious ***.

The Lambo driver is pushing the car...you can hear it.

The Supra is that fast. I've been for a ride in a single turbo Supra before...the pucker factor is unreal. My guess is the Supra is running low 10's and the Lambo is running high 11's/low 12's.

ETA...pic of the Supra I went for a hell ride in...

I'd still rather have the Lambo LOL.

Me too. I really like the MKIV cars, but I definitely dont like what he did to that one. I know there are some Supras making some crazy power, but they just dont seem to get it done at the dragstrip. I know there are going to be like 50 people posting about how they know someone that knows someone who's cousin's uncle's Supra can beat anything in the world; however, I go to Atlanta Dragway in Commerce, GA fairly and I really haven't been terribly impressed with 1/4 mile times of these cars that are putting down HUGE numbers to the tires.

Dont get me wrong...I love those MKIV supras, they look incredible STOCK and even some of the body kit cars look great...I guess if I had the cash to have one, I would, but it wouldnt be my first choice. There's no place to run top speed races safely, so the quarter is the only REAL racing that I get to do.

OT, but have you ever looked at what those MKIV cars are selling for? They are really holding value amongst the Supra crew.

Why on earth is this humiliation? Because a Lambo is supposed to "unbeatable" by any and all cars on the road?

The Supra might be faster, but I wouldn't think twice about choosing the Lambo.

gallardo high 11's low 12's, yes. murcy? don't think so. that car is faster than that right out of the wrapper i believe.:bolt

wacked out toyota whipping just about anything? oh yea.:chuckle:

Murcielago LP640 6.5 L V12....11.8 sec @136 mph

The ol saying is what does a 400rwhp Supra have in common with a 800rwhp Supra? 12 sec time slips. They also have a rep for being dyno queens, anybody who's very looked at them (dyno sheet) can see they suddenly spike in power at the top of the RPM range. Awesome looking cars and at highway speeds can be very dangerous. I wouldn't mind having one especially being a rear wheel drive car (along with the RX7 another favorite).
