**Jeffs Werkstatt Quick Wash & Acrylic Glos REVIEW**

Subject:

Jeffs Werkstatt Quick Wash (QW) and Acrylic Glos (AG) review on a light-moderate dirty black car (Lexus ES300).

Objective:

To state the outcome of JW QW and AG; What does it do; performance, ease of use etc.

Set-up:

Utilized my “old-school 1998 Lexus ES300 after 6-days of almost 100 degree and thunderstorms (every day). Driving back and forth to work, 17 miles one way.

Procedure:

Spray QW and/or AG on dirty surface and see out it performs utilizing a MF towel.

I parked my car in a 98-degree garage 4 hours before use. I shook the bottles up for 30-seconds each.

QW was sprayed at 1 spray per panel and 2 for (half the hood). AG was the same way. Kind of like applying AJT to the surface.

BOTH were wiped with one side of MF towel using “towel weight and then the MF towel was turned to “dry side and then wiped again.

Conclusion:

QW- IF you have a good base-coat of AJ(T) QW will return the slickness of the AJ (T); but, it only cleans the surface. No marring etc. It is like Poorboys S&W in my eyes BUT without any streaking. How this [PB] product would re-act with JW I have no idea. I can try it if you want?

IF you have gone sometime without AJ(T); then AG will clean AND add some slickness and depth to the paint. On my car, it added some additional “gloss to the black car.

Both where VERY easy to remove no matter the thickness/ amount you sprayed. Having stated that, I would recommend at least (2) MF towel to apply. One to clean the surface and one for the final buff. I did not use very much either. After doing 3 “cleanings the bottle is not even down to the end of the taper.

Only issue I have is I WISH his QW would come in larger sizes since I do take care of (4) cars/SUV, bike and tractor. But then again, you do not use much..Maybe it is the OCD in me…LOL

Summary

For the small delta in price, I would just get the AJT if using AJ on the paint. For the extra $$$, it is worth it (2 extra dollars)

Excellent review and much appreciated Mike!

Interesting that QW has as much cleaning ability as PB's S&W but it seems to have more slickness without the streaking. Now I've gotta part wih more money. :chuckle:

I wonder how it compares in slickness to Chemical Guy's Speed Wipe which has similar cleaning properties to S&W but with more slickness?

Also interesting is the fact that your car was so warm when you used it; excellent!

Did you use these in the direct sunlight or did you stay in the garage?

the key word is IF you have a good base coat of AJ or AJT QW will clean...very well.

It made the paint like it was just "AJT'ed"

I only have Chemical Guys Pro Detailer (gallon) at home. I had more "liquid on me" then the car in this HOT weather! LOL

I used it in the garage today and I might do out and do it with ClearKote Quick shine now but the wife is going to flip here...It is 9 PM and I need to put my little guy to bed.."but I want to play"...LOL

Nice review, thanks for doing that. I used S&W on my car today (it's got AJ/AJT on it) and didn't notice any streaking; however I am not happy with the way S&W has been streaking for me in the heat lately. It's good to hear QW doesn't exhibit streaking in heat. I might have to get some when my S&W is gone... all 6 gallons! :D

You need to let Jeff know that you would like gallon sizes. The more requests the sooner it will happen.

For an acrylic QD, AG really wipes on and off very cleanly with minimal effort.

QW also cleans quite well and I like to use it for bird bombs, etc.

Both seem to have a medice/alcohol smell. Has anyone noticed that?

Exactly how dirty was the car? Seems as if everyone I talk to says that on a black car, with a little bit of dirt from just one ride of 20 miles in a light rain, with a fresh coat of PB QW+ should be washed, not gone over with a waterless wash.

So the Quick Wash cleaned the car and did not scratch or leave swirls? I have a new 2007 Lexus that is Black..It is my first black car so I am a little afraid of what I use on it...

It is no different then Poorboys S&W, S&G, etc etc

If you use it correctly, it will not have any marring, swirls, straching, etc.

I was the same way with these QD and ONR.

Quick Wash seems to break down the dirt a bit and lubricate the surface, so that you can get away with more than you could with a regular QD.

But I still would not use it on too dirty of a surface. I suppose the definition of "too dirty" depends on your personal comfort level. I only use QD on a freshly washed car, so I use Quick Wash for light dust if I need to work on the surface...

Just makes me think twice about using a QW product on a brand new Black Car....It is the first Black car I have ever owned and I really dont have as much time as I would like to take care of it...I would really love to use a good QW on it...Some of the other people I spoke to about it say it is best to always wash a Black car if it has anything on it besides light dirt or dust.
