I think it's BS, if you can try ICE COLD AIR and see what they tell you and bring the paperwork from the dealer that said you need a whole a/c for the car. Also what yr and make and model is the car, and engine and maybe i could look up information on the car.
 
i have to check with her, i think its 2001 , jeep cherokee



engine im not sure, i think its a 4.0L V6, im not sure though

Just me know when you can and i will try to get information on that model, just for your info Chrysler (some) models / lines have been notorious for a/c problems. But i see if i can help out. :hifive: Angelo
 
I think she will probably need her car that day. Ill see maybe I can drop her off at work? Where the hell would we start anyways, I dont know anything about AC's.

Me neither, but I can tell you, that with all the new products, you will probably want to detail, not work on the car.
 
Hey Jim, did some research on the a/c problem and a coworker had a problem with his a/c on his PT Cruiser. He told me that he had the same problem as you girlfriend's jeep, and the dealer told him the same thing that you wrote, so i remember that i send him to ICE COLD AIR, and they fix it for him for 350.00 dollars. If the leak is coming from the metal lines from the compresser or the another area that is something that could be fix. Just try to go to ICE COLD AIR and ask them to see if it could be repair, if they say the same thing that the dealer said , then ask what needs to be replace (All parts names) and maybe a auto salvage yard might have those parts which be much more cheaper then 1500.00 bucks. It's your or her choice but remember summer is about here already. Also I will bring the wife's Toyota to the meet, because i want to learn on the PC and if Josh has his Rotary there too.:buffing: Angelo

Dodge charged me 200 bux just to look at it and diagnose it. then they said 1500 more to fix it. Does Ice cold air charge to just look at it?

The last time i use then , they did not charge me, It was the on US19 and SR580 in countryside. Across from where i work maybe i can call them to see if they would do this for you. I hope the same people are there from the last time i was there. I'll call in the morning and if you can call one near you or where she lives OK.

You can also check with the guys on Sheldon that I told you about that were honest when it came to my Range Rover.
 
Yea I will check both those guys out, Angelo we live together and we are on Hillsborough and Montague. There is a place a few miles east of here, but i have no problem going to the one you went to if you had a good experience!



Josh I thought that place was a body shop??

This is a little off topic, but do you guys know if walmart has empty 8oz. bottles? similar to the the 3 oz. travel size ones?



I made a trade and need to get one of these bottles....
