It's a disease

I think I must be a true Autopian now. I did my first detailing of something other than a car. I actually tried to polish my bathroom counter (didn't work, but added some EX-P for a better shine), and then coated a few things around the house with EX-P to shine them up and make cleaning easier. :2thumbs: :waxing:

I took a cleaner wax to my washing machine and dryer . . . . what else am i going to use my old products for . . . not to mention the craftsman 7'' random orbit buffer . . . .

I've been wanting to try aio on my bathroom mirrors and shower doors. Anyone else try this?

I've also been wanting to do this... but can't get myself to use such an expensive product on in my bathroom

I use my brilliant spray glaze on the mirrors in the bathroom because it helps to keep them from getting "steamed up" as much.

I have all kinds of uses for my detailing products around the house.

really ? Brilliant spray glaze ? Im gonna give that a shot.

Yeah - Scrtches on the washer and dryer are tough - guess ill halft to try out my rotary with some hyper compound!!!

I've always wanted to wax/seal the bathtub or something, so that it doesn't get as dirty as quickly. But then there's the ridiculous concerns about people slipping or whatever on the very slick surface... psh

LOL

I've AIOed the stainless front of my fridge..and I was just looking at my laptop wondering if I could use something on it

Yeah, I plan to do that with the shower walls (tiles).

do any of you think long-term exposure to our detailing products is bad for us?

I mean, we do touch our walls, countertops, etc very often on a daily basis; much more so than our cars (what Autopian would touch their car when its not needed? :D).

It's bad enough that I can't walk in a parking lot without looking at all the swirlmarks and wondering what product I'd use

I do that all the time too!! It seems like every car I see has TONS of swirls and marring. :waxing: :hifive:

Thats fairly minor, I'm in aero/auto Resto so I'm critical about just about every aspect of vehicles, not just swirls etc...

& as someone pointed out to me the other day:

If you were looking to hire a detailer to sort out your car, ideally you'd want someone with an extreme case of OCD......In fact this occupation/hobby is probably a fertile breeding ground for people with easily diagnosable OCD...just look at some of the posts..
