It's bad enough that I can't walk in a parking lot without looking at all the swirlmarks and wondering what product I'd use

I'm with ya there...and don't forget about cringing whenever you see a car go into the automated bristle car washes, or any wash in particular, and especially when they're nice black cars.

I've used my PC to buff my leather shoes, and XMT Finishing Glaze + Souveran on my patent leather shoes (that was interesting), Rainx'd my bathroom mirror for ***** and giggles, and I know there are a handful of other things I can't think of right now.

My my I thought this craziness was reserved for the few in previous posts about this subject, I guess there are lots of us out there. I can speak to the AIO in the bathroom, it seemed to break down rather quickly on the interior shower walls. I guess its all the heat and soaps and such that prematurly age it. This last time I used aio and duragloss PBA and 105 I have weekly boosted with aquawax and it is so satisfing to watch the sheeting and beading while I scrub up. Duragloss is soo cheap that I keep a bottle of AW in the bathroom! :chuckle:

I suppose its only a matter of time before we start posting our bathrooms in the Click and Brag section! :D

Seriously, I have these horrible water spots on my shower doors... after I scrub all that out with Lime Away (sorry, I don't have any polishes :o ), I'm going to rain-x that mofo so that I don't have to deal with such a horrible problem, at least in the short term!

Thats fairly minor, I'm in aero/auto Resto so I'm critical about just about every aspect of vehicles, not just swirls etc...

& as someone pointed out to me the other day:

If you were looking to hire a detailer to sort out your car, ideally you'd want someone with an extreme case of OCD......In fact this occupation/hobby is probably a fertile breeding ground for people with easily diagnosable OCD...just look at some of the posts..

LOL check out the screen name :buffing:

I am a homebrewer, gardner and now a noob detailer. I thought there were some "enthusiastic" :woohoo: homebrewers, gardners and composters on those forums but you guy blow them all out of the water.

I especially liked a post I read where on a long road trip, he would QD his car on every stop to remove splattered bugs and other debris.

My wife already thinks I love my truck more than her!

...and after I detailed the lawn tractor my eye caught the 17' aluminum canoe in the garage...

hmm...rotary, lambswool pads/bonnets and metal polish??? Well, maybe in the spring if the (OCD) fever lasts that long!
