Is this forum dying a slow death?

Because this forum worked well by itself and was not totally used for PAC advertising, there are a number of people wishing to keep this running on its own. I hope so as it is still a viable forum. It will take a bit of time for the dust to settle but it is the intention that TID and the BLACKFIRE line of products goes on.

Great news, now?

You all should be shouting this from the roof tops.

You have an announcement page so why not use it?

Why not give a moderator the job of answering any post questioning the future of Blackfire with a standard response including some confident language? Something like:

While the exact details and business relationships are being worked out you all can be confident that Blackfire will be available. We have too much invested in the brand and too many loyal customers and fans to simply let the product die.

In the meantime, we have arranged for the following retailers (fill in the names?) to have an ongoing supply for the foreseeable future. As we have more clarity in the business structure we will be posting here and everywhere we can think of to keep our customers informed. Thank you for your business and faith in Blackfire.

Over the past few weeks when the forum or Blackfire came up any official response was anything but definitive. Even your statement above is a tad wishy washy, "it is the intention?".

"The" does not have intentions, people do.

Same with the forum. The lack of clarity on whether it survives has encouraged people to look elsewhere. For a time they were even posting the "where is everybody going" questions. It took days before somebody said TID would probably survive.

Couple more thoughts?

If you want the forum to survive, kill the thread by Todd (th001) saying good bye. Its been up long enough. At least to me, and probably others, Todd was TID, or at least the biggest of the major players. It is easy to read his "good bye" as the death of TID.

Trash the thread, look to the future.

Jack - Start your own thread telling everyone why TID will survive, identify the new major players running the show and encourage everybody to tell all their friends that TID is back, is not going anywhere, and to come back home.

Jeff ,I understand completely what your saying and it all makes perfect sense .

I do think Todds thread should stay though ,out of respect for him and also some very kind things were said to us about PAC and about the forum that I think are important.

Threads die on their own as they get burried with new ones .

But YES ,some new ones looking towards the future are needed and coming in due time Im sure !:)

"In due time?"

It seems to me there is a window of time to keep TID active and healthy. That window is rapidly closing.

Wait long enough and the task becomes more difficult and you are essentially starting over.

Nothing good comes from delaying positive steps and communication.

I could not agree more. Well said.

I personally do not post much on here as almost all of my questions are answered by using the search feature. I am not one to just post stuff just because. I try to add to the topic at hand. I personally love TID and do not want to join anywhere else. So this will be my home till I die or it dies, whichever comes first. Hopefully people will realize TID isn't going anywhere and will once again post. There is so much great info on this site, and so many great people. It will take a little bit of time.

So to TID as a whole I say Get Well 2

TID is not dying. TID is and always will be the people that post here. While yes the people running it help to drive it's personality, it is ultimately the people that post here that determine it's personality. While TID was a part of PAC, it is a separate issue and thus why it is still "UP AND RUNNING"!

I am sorry I have not been on much to answer all of the questions that this has raised, but quite frankly, I am really busy trying to tie up loose ends and will be for the next few weeks. Todd, has not gone away, but is also busy and thus not on as much. He will be back however, so, don't fear.

KEEP POSTING!!!!!!! Weightlifter

Thanks

I'm still around just having other things going on and put detailing aside for a while. But I'm still reading and learning also buying more products as I can.

"You can help create your own luck, you can make things happen through hard work and intelligence."- Donald J. Trump

Having TID continue, now unaffiliated with any sales, probably adds to it's legitimacy if anything at all.

I always like this site because I though it never "whored" it's products that way AG and the AG cheerleaders do, but given that it won't be specifically affiliated with any sales means (at least to me) that it adds to the credibility of the info you can get here.

I will continue to post (not that I add much) but look forward to learning from all of the great members.

Jack,

If you keep the forum open I will be here. There are a lot of great members and I am sure the people that left will return once they see TID survived.

The people and their willingness to share ideas and expertise set this place way above the rest.

No surprises here. It won't be long before PBMG will be the vendor with all other vendors working as affliates.

I'm not saying it's a bad thing, just thinking aloud.
