Okay, here goes...reasons NOT to like Zaino:
-Archaic ordering/distribution system
-Relatively high price (compared to standard retail detailing supplies)
-Multiple steps required to properly use product
-Very specific instructions need to be followed to use product effectively and efficiently
-May take a long time to dry depending on humidity/temp (I havent had this problem)
-Zaino evangelism
-It is like a drug, you may become addicted
-Lack of concours victories
-Concern over polymers and clouding or yellowing of paint
BTW, none of these things stopped me from using the product. And, this list is not of my concerns, but a mix of my concerns and of ones that I have heard here and other places.

Very good points, but there are ways out of it

-->There are distributor that take orders via PAYPAL. You can pay with VISA like what you do with CMA.
-Relatively high price (compared to standard retail detailing supplies)
--> Look at the long picture of longevity. The costs are fair.
-Multiple steps required to properly use product
--> Besides paint prep which needs to be done with any other system, just use ZFX/Z2 OR 5. That's just 1 step.

-->Hmmmm you just put it on and wipe it off! Only tricky part (which isn't that hard) is applying it thin.

Because it is so damn addicting! Zaino does layer and to a point you CAN see a difference with mulitple coats. There does come a point where diminishing returns comes forth, but after a Z7 wash, and Z6, the car is properly prepped for another coat of zaino, and sometimes we just say what the hell, and spend another hour applying and removing another coat of the stuff........
You know, whenever a serious Klasse question is posted, I always answer it with a serious and honest answer. I would think that by the 3rd page of this thread, we'd get through the I use Zaino because it's addicting answer and here some real answers about durability. Whenever someone pm'ed me asking why some Z users post that way, I tell them, that's just how enthusiastic people are for their product. I can see why they questioned the hype, but I defended it.
I spend soo much time doing other stuff on my car that, taking 2 hours just to wash it is enough for me every week. Klasse allows me to do that, and the typical Z answer was not what I was looking for. I expected more from experienced Z users.
I know of two very respectable people on this thread that mentioned specifically what their Zaino was not as durable as their Klasse. One was over winter and the other was about protection from contaminants. I'm not going to hold them to their posts but if you read every post here as I try to do, you should have read it too. Heck I'm surprised you guys let the anti-z posts even slip by, when they mentioned it.

In my opinion, it's really hard to tell the difference between different waxes unless the entire car is waxed. Just one body panel is not enough to tell the difference between anything, but when doing the car as a whole, I notice a difference between waxes.

I actually mentioned it several weeks ago, but I didnt receive much comment from it. I think I mentioned it in the picture forum. To answer your question, I didnt apply more Z after 6 months. The car still has its original Z on it.
On my cars, OTOH, I apply more Z because it is more of a perceived benefit. Maybe it isnt true but to me it feels like the more coats I get on, the better the car is protected.

While I agree that some Zaino users take things a bit too seriously...well, forget it, i'm not going to even go there. I'll leave it simple and say it is better to just say what is on your mind (sometimes) rather than tip toeing around the situation.

The Bottom Line : I think we established that different users can use different products and all establish great results. A large part of the equation is detailing skill and knowledge aside from the products that are at hand. There is no single product that will work the BEST in all circumstances, and actual results from person to person and car to car will differ with climatic conditions, environment, condition of paint, detailing methods, and maintainance schedules.
I am surprised that some people have so much to say about zaino, and are keeping this thread going, yet have never tried the product and have no intention of doing so. While it is important to express opinions and beliefs, it is also important to try and stick with facts and post information that is of value to other readers about the topic on hand.
For those people that continue to use different products on your different cars, my hat goes off to you, your input and comparisons are greatly appreciated

Interesting thread, if not very productive… but at least there are lots of knowledgeable opinions from different people with different perspectives.
But lets try to keep it on subject. I’m <strong class='bbc'>very[/b] surprised. Let’s try to be less defensive and more open-minded on what others think.
As far as my experience with Zaino, I find it to be an excellent product and the only shortcoming I can think of now is that the hype sometimes exceeds the actual results. However, it is a proven product with many loyal users who rave about its excellent durability, and I concur with that fact. Just don’t expect magical results. So if you’re looking for a show-winning shine and durability is not a factor, there are some other products that will suit you better.
But for me, I feel Zaino is a very practical product great for those who live in snowy climates and don’t have the opportunity to wax often.

BW - Actually that L.A. Zaino distributor charged a bit more too and he doesn't offer that free applicator pad for order over $25. 
Well, that's how it was when I ordered from him a year ago, don't know about now. Not sure if you care about that but for sure you get your shipment much faster. (He shipped mine the same day he got the call from me).
Admac, that's an interesting point about sales tax, but I would think the extra shipping costs would pretty much make up for the sales tax? Anyway, the only reputable Zaino distributor I know is Kevin Overall (he takes PAYPAL) and I'll PM his E-MAIL addy to you. Pls check your PM. He's in TN though, so you may want to just E-MAIL Zaino Bros directly for a distributor closest to California and try to minimize the shipping costs. Sal will reply really quick (usually 1 day).
