I use my pressure washer to peel flaking paint at the stable and cleaning out my horses' stalls. On my car? Not a chance.

I like using my pressure washer on my rims and tires. After spraying wheel cleaner, the pressure washer blows just about all of the brake dust and other contaminants away. I also use it on my wife's DD whenever there's loads of bug on the front end.

Big difference between using a 3000+ psi gas pressure washer with a 5 degree tip on it and an electric unit putting out 1000-1500psi with a wide pattern tip. ;)

Nope.....1800 electric. Just not a tool designed for automobile use in my opinion. Each to their own.

Well over here I think the PW is the way to go. I've got a 110Bar 1600 psi Pw and there is no way its going to damage the car, not unless its in a poor state. In saying that I hold it common sense foot away. I read a Report done over here in the UK that the concern was about tyre walls and petrol driven PW used by the many non approved , non professional valaters about in the UK. these industrial PW could damage the Tyre walls and make them fail. Was happy to read you average PW could not.

It basically said that my 110 Bar machine was well below the power needed to damage the car but the petrol one?s were more industrial strength over my General home use PW. Plus I follow one guy who it buy all accounts the Tiger woods of Detailing and he uses his PW closer then me and he?s cleaning million pound cars.

I think I'd hate to wash my car by hand without a PW rinse after a foam.
