But I see the steamer's benefits for carpeting, loosening gunky consoles and disinfecting.

and engines, door jams, air vents (those impossible nooks and crannies). :wavey

Could that $45 saeco steamer break down heavy dirt and grime in wheel wells and door jams? It just seems that the most filthest cars in San Antonio end up in my hands.

Anybody know how the specs on this saeco compare to the steamer I've been using? I can't find specs on it.. a Euro Pro Ultra Steam Shark (EP-903) :nixweiss

I do need to upgrade to something with a larger tank....

Saeco Piccolo = 60 oz tank

Euro Pro Ultra Steam Shark (EP-903) = 27 oz tank

Yup -- I was actually referring more to the PSI rating... I know the picolo is bigger, but is it more powerful? There ARE some times when the steam shark seems not as effective as it could be... :dance

Anyone else notice at the bottom it says:

Item Discontinued by Manufacturer - New Vapor Steam Cleaners coming soon!

Yes, I saw that as well. I guess that is why Costco is selling them so cheap...they're blowing them out.

Well, if they are discontinued we may not be able to buy replacement parts, but for 45.00 if they are well made then I won't sweat it if it fails down the road.

any feedback from any of you fellas who placed an order and received there packagae already and used it....... :dance

I've used it now on my carpets stairs in my house. Worked great.

Used it on the interior of my Audi. Light tan interior, almost "sand blasted" embeded gunk on the dead pedal that a toothbrush and aggressive cleaning wouldn't touch. Blew away stains on the carpet. Door jambs, used some de-greaser then hit with the steamer, worked great. Used it on the dash, cleaned it out. Door panels, ditto.

Oh yeah, steamcleaned the sealed wood floor in the house, worked well. Maybe no better than mopping, but used no chemicals, left a clean feel and smell to the house. Floor looked good. Dried quickly. No complaints.

I'm very happy with with my investment. Good machine, GREAT machine for the money.

Of course, I would love to see what a high end system with 75PSI would do!
