6 speed manual, the only way to go in a GTI

Looks right at home in my garage...

So, I loved my Jetta, don`t get me wrong, but I was having a case of "I wants." Drove 2 hours to Virginia and picked this bad boy up! Exact color I wanted, although it has been miswashed, so when it gets warm it will need full correction, but that`s ok! Stole it at $22,800 OTD.

A friend of mine has the same car, same color, and loves it. I`ve had 3 VW`s and they were all great, regardless of what Honda and Toyota fans think.

Yea that`s why I took the 2 hour drive into the city, but holy Hell at the traffic! I`m glad I have an EzPass; it was worth paying almost $10 (for both ways) for the express lanes. I still like my rural town of 500 people!

Actually when I put the pass on the windshield in the GTI the salesmen went "now it`s officially yours!" :lol:

Still getting used to the 6 speed. Used to the 5 speed in the Jetta. A couple times I found myself cruising in 5th to realize I have another gear to go. The 100+ mile trip netted me 33mpg according to the computer.

BTW, they will pick you up at the airport, hehe.

The manual was going to be the only way I was gonna go. Definitely a cheaper 40K mile service! Like a dork I can`t stop going out to the garage to look at it.
