HT Extreme Cut...thoughts

The new hyper is just a beefed up Hyper. Same name, same great quality, just a significant boost in cutting. Basically the whole line up got a formula makeover and some tweaks.

Who has it?

I'd take EC over PG, however the rest of the lines still have distinct uses, so I won't be dropping IP, FPII or 106FF any time soon. :)

Sorry, I lost my thread :)

I second that...I think I like EC better too. And there still isn't anything that will touch 106FF, but we'll see what HiTemp comes up with in the next month or two.

wait, so get the newly formulated HC, or get EC from HT????

I have the OP, so would I be better off using that mixed with EC or OHC

I'm not sure the HTEC is a great learning product for a rotary NOOB. Even though it doesn't have quite the cut or finish, I'd go with Hyper Compound till I really got the swing of things.

I spoke of this product I think years ago....no one paid much attention then to Hi-Temp....cept the pros because of the great price.....now Hi-Temp is competing with the higher end products it seems. It's about time as years ago when I first started using them they really impressed me (Light Cut and Fine Finish are both excellent products also, try those) but not too many people where willing to try them out. Glad to see they are getting used more.

I just used the new Optimum hyper and it is, IMO, more aggressive than PG, perhaps even EC, but continues to work and finish out so nice.

Yup, Anthony you're defenitely the man - and based on some of your posts where you describe your buffing procedure, product, and speed, I can confirm that you REALLY know what your doing! Cudos on the early discovery of HiTemp...too bad I wasn't aware if Autopia at the time.

And I too can't wait to try the new Hyper compound - some extra "Beef" was surely needed.

I just learned that it will be a few months before it is ready. :(

It was figured that the new Hyper beta samples we got were still not as aggressive as we wanted them so back to the proverbial drawing board :argue

We want something that really levels paint, removes sanding marks BUT will finish out close to where Hyper is right now. So a few more tweaks are in order. The new one-step though should be ready next month :2thumbs:
