I wash once a week usually. Will do my vehicle and the g/f's. Wax and polishing, well I want to do it more often. Every second month or so. Now that I have a few DA machines I imagine I might ft into the monthly category pretty soon! Except in the winter... We get some ridiculously cold weather here in Canada!
 
Actually your poll should have had 2 parts.

I answered annually because I only polish once a year but I wax about 4 times a year.

Exactly! My answer above reflected this. Also, polishing may be a minor quick fix or AIO buffing out the front bumper after de-bugging, etc.
 
At the time I polled I guess I wasn't thinking that I was pointing out the mistake I was thinking it is kind of hard to answer unless you do both every time. Also, for me I answered what I have done since I joined this forum and this car about 2 years ago. My other vehicles never got polished and only waxed twice a year. I haven't yet got to polish my ride yet this year and was going to start yesterday and do a quick once over. I left work an hour early and whipped out the hose and dug out every thing I needed. I was trying to beat the rain and of course I lost. I had everything ready but when I hooked the hose to the spigot it started sprinkling. Thanks Mother Nature. My ride is in desperate need of a wash, it has been over 3 weeks.

Don't blame yourself Dean. It was me that failed here. This thread is a disaster. I titled it wrong. It's in the wrong section. I left out a few categories I should've included. Everything that could've gone wrong did

Didn't reply to poll but I polish the family vehicles about once a year. I wash them every week or two. New LSPs can be as often as once a month or as infrequently as two or three times per year.
My garage is unheated, does not have a floor drain and I'm still getting the lighting dialed after a major garage rehab last fall and this spring. Even when the lighting is where I want it my detailing season is pretty much April through October plus a few, rare, lucky days in March or November and a few miserable ones getting the worst of the salt and road grime off in mid winter (coin car wash plus rinseless).
 
If you're polishing more than twice a year, then something is wrong. Wax is a foreign term to me as I gave that habit up years ago.
 
There's only one person who waxes/polishes everyday LOL. He must be a real loser with no life. Am I right guys?
