Saw this in an auto store the other day and thought I'd give it a shot.
You can see it took out some touch-up paint by looking at the MF.
The before and after pics don't do it much justice. To the touch, the touch-up paint is much flatter, but it was applied over a month ago. To be fair, the directions say to use it 1-2 hours after touch-up paint is applied.
I tried it on some freshly applied touch-up paint and it took off too much, to the point part of the rock chip was re-exposed, but the remainder was much better looking. Unfortunately, the digicam battery died so I have no pics of this.
Overall, it pretty much does what it's supposed to. If you're doing 1 or 2 rock chips then this is good. Doing 10 or more, it's going to take a long time. If you're comfortable with wetsanding, I wouldn't bother with this product. It's too expensive, and requires as much effort as my old method or 2000 grit wetsand and scratchx, and only effective on fresh touch-up paint.
I will be using this product again, to give it another chance, but without a doubt, if you have a lot of chips to worry about, it can't compare to wetsand.
This product is exactly the same as the Langka version, just repackaged. However, I've been told that Mothers no longer do this.
