Highly impressed with Wolf's Deironizer Decon Gel (wheel cleaner)

Mine is 2012 01 27 and has a slight minty? smell.

There are 2 wheel cleaners that Wolf's offers:

Wolfs Chemicals WF-1P Deironizer Decon Gel

Wolfs Chemicals WF-1NT Wheel Cleaner aka "clean and coat"

The Decon Gel is what I am using. I have not tried the "clean and coat" version yet.

Bryan mine is the WF-1P Deionizer Decon Gel. I can live with the smell as long as it does a good job. I thought I was ordering a gallon but luckily clicked on the 1 liter by mistake. I'll use this up and maybe get the better smelling version next order. (they did enclose a 15% off for next orded coupon :)

Hi guys! Yeah so after January first all Decon Gel is the new V3! Yeah it doesn't smell great if you stick your nose in it, but if you spray it it's not that bad :)! V1 was absolutely horrible though!! In the beginning we had to designate Fridays as "Decon Day" and make Deironizer on that day only so we could evacuate the lab and air the place out for Monday :D!! Hope you guys like it!

Thanks for the explanation Jesse. You are correct that I just took a wiff after removing the cap. I'll give it a try this week.

Hey Paul,

I'd be interested in hearing your thoughts on it after using it this week/weekend... Maybe do a side by side with it versus IronX and let us know the results?

Thanks,

Tom

I have not found any wheels were the latest version of wolf's wont work for a spray, dwell and rinse. Porsche, BMW and Audi. Treated with wolfs or not, it gets it done every time.

I think they're up to v3 of the Wolf's - this version was released December or January.

Good to know. I had V1... it didn't blow me away. I'll make a point of ordering it next time I place an order, it sounds like it's improved a lot.

OK I just happen to have available a 2000 Mercury Mountaineer (109,000 miles)that has never been waxed and only washed at the local tunnel wash. I will borrow the daughters SLR digital camera and if some one will help show me how to post pictures onto the forum I'll give it a try.

PS: The wife will be shocked to see me working on HER car. LOL.
