help with buffing after wetsanding

Nason us a pretty soft paint a wool pad may not be necessary. Just be carefully on edges and underneath
(Where paint may not be as thick)

Understand that your end result is only based on the amount of
clear you are working with.
How well you know the painter can make or break you. Some are light some are heavy.

This is something tricky to diagnose without seeing.

so if i buff with wool with 3m ultra cut 2. and i use the EX-P would i use a foam polishing pad for that? and then top with nattys red? or do i need some type of polish between compound and exp?

Rule of thumb. Always follow a wool with some kind of foam polish.
There are many polishes that contain fillers. You want a polish without fillers.
The reason for this is the fillers will hide micro marring and will appear later.
Of course the pad and compound choice will be determined by how hard or soft it is buffing.

I would strongly suggest NOT starting right off with wool. Try the less aggressive solution (foam) first.

Any good high quality glaze will work on the finishing side of things, then since the finish is cured, a light wax is all you really need, nothing extreme.

Wow, shop going down to 4K? They must want the overtime or the owner of the vehicle payed some big $$ up front!

4K is easy to work out with fine polishes.

Me, I use Menzerna, but that's just me and due to the car I have. You can use 3M line if your familure since you've done this in the past. No need to "train-up" to a new polish and pads at this point and more so on a clients car freshly painted. Go with a polish pad and light polish like Finesse-It or similar. The finer the better at first, then move up to a more aggressive polish if needed.

Take your time in polish prep masking on new paint.
