Ok guys, I need your help in selecting an OTC wax. Step 6 is where I need your help. Here's the steps and products I'm gonna do:
1. Go to coin-operated car wash at 4:00am (no choice here, no hoses or driveways...)
2. Wash with their stuff, but only the soap and water. Go over it with a sponge too.
3. Dry with microfiber
4. Clay bar all painted parts of car (leftover Mothers California Gold Clay Bar), lube with leftover Clay Magic lube and then Mothers California Gold Showtime Quick Detailer (spray) after that runs out, go over the entire car one more time with Showtime and drying with microfiber
5. Apply Mothers Reflections Premium Polish (liquid) with applicator to any scratches and buff them out with microfiber
6....Wax the painted areas...But what product??? Already got the applicator and microfiber for this
7. Apply Meguiars NXT Tech Wax (liquid) to all painted areas with applicator, and buff out with microfiber.
I've used Mothers Cleaner wax on a friend's car with this exact method for #6, but now i'm running low on it so I need a replacement...what should it be? I just wanna hit Wal-mart and find a good product at a decent price...paste or liquid is fine, I like to think paste works better though and there's more of it.
Please let me know if there's any steps I should take or do differently in the above too! I also have Mothers California Gold Scratch Remover (should I used this instead of Polish?), DuPont Teflon Car Wax, Turtle Wax Polishing Compound (green)
Thanks!
