HD Poxy Q?

Any chance version 4 has an improved smell, maybe like candy or something good?

Hi Yakky,

We can improve the smell of HD POXY very easily but as you now any thing added extra to a wax/sealant is a liability.

Fragrances are oils in their concentrated forms. Will not contribute to any of the properties and might even streak in black or dark color cars.

I wanted to stay as pure as possible with Poxy. Since very little product needed to cover an entire vehicle; IMO the smell is not a huge factor. Therefore I did not want to risk the formula.

Not only does it smell good to me, the new version is a bit thinner and therefore easier to apply AND, wipes off even easier than before, and that is saying something.

Thanks for answering. I understand your position, but I think lots of people love a good smelling product, especially LSP, as I'm sure you've read, lots of people rant about smells, lol.

I always liked how Meguiar's consumer line of products smelled like berries, but I also wondered if the quality of the product would improve if it didn't contain the filler fragrances. I say keep with trying to keep the quality of the product over the smell. I'd gladly wear a respirator to put on an LSP if it meant that it would last longer or give a better gloss any day.

I will try. But also remember with our new red pad and DA you can use less than 1 oz for the entire car.

HD Poxy goes a long way. It is hard to believe but it is true. You don't need more than 1 oz per car. So I think

the smell should be bearable for that little product. :)

Question, someone on the forums said that HD Poxy has a good bit of fillers.

So does it or does it not have any fillers to hide/clover blemishes?

Fillers is a very broad term. Poxy has silicone and it is a good concealer, but in my experience that concealment does not last past a wash or two. That is one of my biggest gripes with Poxy, it looks amazing at first but once wet the looks start sliding down hill faster than most.

Thanks for the reply yakky!

I have a whole 32oz bottle so I was wondering if it could mask up swirls, or if I should just go ahead and polish out the paint. Thinking about going with the latter and trade up the Poxy.

Why would you trade the poxy? It is one of the best looking LSPs I have seen. I also don't experience what yakky is talking about. And here in portland we get tons of rain.
