This is a 2001 Lexus RX300 I did for my mechanic. He detailed for 10-12 years until he became a mechanic and knows his stuff, but isn't up to date on all the new products. For instance, he uses this uber shiny tire dressing and other stuff, but the detail came out quite nice.
The color is Hi Definition Champagne. It has so much flake, it's scary. I absolutely love the look of it. The exterior was very lightly swirled, but the paint looked pretty good other than that. I used VM/EX-P to bring out the flake and add some wetness to it. My process was:
-Mother's Gold Wash
-Clay Magic Clay
-Mother's Gold Wash
-#82 SFP via Rotary with Meg's Polishing Pad @ 1500rpm
-VM via Rotary with LC Polishing Pad @ 1000 rpm (very light pressure)
-EX-P by MF applicator (hand)
The stuff I used on the tires and wells for him was Gliptone Shineola Max. I've used it before. Lasts a while, but gets a bit sticky after it dries.
Before
After
Clear and wet :xyxthumbs
This is the flake I'm talking about. It's rediculous!!!
Enjoy!
