Have products - could use a little direction.

Next weekend I'm going to be working on the exterior of a 2004 Dark Blue Ford Explorer. I could really use some recommendations as which of these products I should use, the exact order to use them in, the quantity of layers and the curing time between layers. The paint is in pretty good condition with very minor swirling and spider webbing. I will be doing all the work by hand. And keep in mind that this is Arizona - where we haven't had rain in 130 days and it will be 110 degrees in a few months. The Explorer is a daily driver and parked in the sun 5 days a week from 8am - 4pm.

I will start out with Meguiar's GC wash and clay with Mother's, here are the rest of the products I have and would like to stick with:

Menzerna IP

Menzerna FP

Klasse AIO

Klasse SG

S100

NXT - Liquid

Scratch X

Meguiar's #26 (Yellow Wax)

Meguiar's #7 (Glaze)

I will be buffing with a microfiber.

OK - I am ready for any and all recommendations. THANK YOU!

I bet you already know which ones to use on the marring- the IP and FP. Might be a fair amount of work by hand, though. Maybe you can get by with just the FP. Try it first and see.

You could use the Sratch-X instead, but I dunno...*nothing* is gonna be easy working by hand. If the Menzerna is a huge pain, see if the Scratch-X is any better. RUB the Scratch-X in and use it multiple times as needed.

Given the AZ heat, I'd probably go with the Klasse twins if (perhaps a big "if") you get the marring under control. Sealants like that are pretty unforgiving, any flaws will show.

But the alternative, to use some combo like #7/#26 or S100, won't last as long in your climate. Too bad, that would probably be my preferred approach (glaze + wax = pretty forgiving combo that hides imperfections)

I'd worry about the NXT not lasting long enough, so I haven't really considered that.

I wouldn't be too eager to top the KSG with a wax. I'd rather just add more SG from time to time. That's what I do on our minivan, where durability is my primary concern.
