nOOb here!
I stumbled in while seeking out information on the fine art of detailing. I live on the Central Coast of California and have always been pretty diligent about maintaining several vehicles, boats, and motorcycles I own. Over the last couple years, I have spent a great deal of time wrenching and maintaining a few offshore boats (my own and a couple friend's) as a necessity/favor/hobby.
Thanks in great part to the economic dive over the last few years, about a year and a half ago, I laid off my work crews and walked away from my own unrelated business of 24 years and stepped into sort of an unpaid semi-retirement.
I'm in the process now of exerting a great deal of thought into stepping into the trade of detailing, not on automobiles, but on boats. It would seem to be somewhat of an untapped market in my area. Maybe for good reason, so I'm slowly and carefully researching that aspect! :inspector:
Anyway, I'm looking forward to sponging as much info as possible from those here with much greater experience in the trade and giving back where I am able.
Shiny side up!
