Gotta love PA

Serious drifting and blowing snow. Tahoe caught blowing snow and then...hit the guardrail. Ugh. Bumper pushed into tire. Tried to pry it out with no success tonight. It`s only real damage. 05 Tahoe with 191K miles. Not really looking to fix - just move the bumper back to avoid tire rub. Bed and hopefully sleep will bring more ideas. Other suggestions appreciated...

This is going to sound primitive, but its worked for us. Get a come-along and drive up to a large tree. Pretty much you`re going to slowly ratchet the bumper away from the tire. Won`t be pretty, but since you`re not looking for perfection right now it`ll work. Now, bumpers for those are a dime-a-dozen at the local pull-a-part.

Thanks Gizmo, but that wasn`t enough oomph. Friend is bringing a 6 ton bottle jack and lumber. He`s a mechanic and has done it before. I`ve been looking for a newer Tahoe at the Auto Auction, so I won`t have this much longer. If it`s going to be a while, I might hit a pull-a-part place. They appear easy to replace.
