Getting a little burnt out on detailing

Maybe its because I suddenly have 5 cars to deal with and its a lot. Me, Wife , 2 kids and a winter beater. Dirty cars don't bother any of them.

I fully understand what your saying. With 5 cars, wifes and two daughters cars along with my garage queen and DD it is alot for one person. You could count on one hand in how many times either the wife or daughters combined may have clean either the interior or exterior. I have Opti 2.0 on three cars for the last 3-4-5 years. Will redo the oldest with 2.0 again (have 4 or 5 syringes left) when it cools off some. Noticed a drop off at about the four year mark and been using reload or hydromax to top.

Mornings are starting to cool at least a little
 
Well, according to my therapist, sitting is bad on your back. And riding a mower, even one like mine, a Kubota ZG327, needs to be avoided. So, selling the mower and buying either a 52" Scag or Hustler, the walk behind versions. I will keep my back happy and with 3 acres to cut, get plenty of walking in. See, I knew I would find something to do instead of detailing!
 
I stopped doing detailing for the heck of it a while ago. Now, I only do stuff that needs to be done. My BMW stays pretty pristine - it's garage kept and never driven in the rain. I probably wash it once every month.

I haven't washed my Pathfinder for close to 2 months - since I did a full detail last. I doesn't look too bad, I have Tuff Shine on the tires and NaviWax Ultimate on the paint - which kind of self cleans after rain. I'm super impressed with this LSP.

I do full decon & polishing details on my cars every 6 months and switch up the LSP.

Since I'm having a house built - my interest has shifted to that. I've never owned a home - and this is a huge project for me. I think a lot of what just makes me what my own space is the ability to detail and be left alone. I think I'll be doing a lot more maintenance washes when I have my own big driveway and garage to do them in.

I live in a town home community now with garages on the bottom. You are not supposed to have a hose here what so-ever - no less wash cars, but I've been using one tapped off the washer out of the garage for years. Nobody bothers be because I'm in a cul-de-sac with one other person. Also, don't leave any mess.

But, I'm in the main view of everyone that comes in here. So, if I do any detailing outside - I feel like I'm on a stage. Not that being seen bothers me per se - but I always feel like I'm on someone else's land. I'm always waiting for some EPA wacko to tell me snow foam kills the snails or something.

I'm sort of nervous someone will finally complain. I can't wait to have my own property so I can feel free to do what I want without the threat of getting in trouble. Right before I move out of here - I'm having the biggest snow foam car wash event ever. Honeydew 1:1 in the foam cannon wide open sprayed up like a plume of foam everywhere. The whole cul-de-sac will be layered in a bed of foam.
 
Yea I ran into the burnt out crowd a while back. I had sold our house that had my nice garage (AKA man cave) so it's been since 2013 since I have had a proper garage. We bought our new Camry in April and it kind of snapped me out of it. Now my Jetta just kind of sits at the shop all week since I've been using company vans/trucks, it doesn't get real dirty. Hopefully spring time I'll have my garage back once we find the right house, then I can finally correct its paint. Luckily the one or two dealer washes for the Camry didn't mess up the paint.
