The ground is charging much more than it used to for crude thus the reason for the increase. Oil companies have publicly stated that they're not making any more money on it it's just the cost to bring it to the pump...:lol2:

It is interesting that when gas prices rise, demand usually drops, but oil company profits still go up so their profits are not tied to just gasoline sales.

I switched back to my old job this week, and even at $3.69/gallon I only had to put $25 in the Jetta. Glad I bought the thing, back when I had the truck and the prices were about the same and I was having to put $40 in it a week.

I'm driving a 96 Tahoe as my dd. Filling up is not fun. I would love to spend $40 a week.

I've seen $4.49 for 93 around here

My commute total per day is now 20 miles  Last week it was 80 miles, so now I don't have to worry as much.

I paid 3.57 for regular in Virginia today. It is around 3.80 in North Carolina to higher gas taxes.

Folks, do keep an eye on gasbuddy dot com. There, you punch in your zip, and find the cheapest gas in your area. It is then up to you, whether you wish to patronize the cheap joints? Mark
