Four Star Body Shop Products

I was very fortunate to win the September 4* Product giveaway by Danase and want to share my impressions of the products so far. I worked on a 2004 Honda Accord (dark red) this afternoon, and used the SMR and MCC products along w/ a 5" orange LC pad. I tried my best to keep the same angle for each pic for easy comparison.

Each after pic is following one (1) round with the MCC product. It finished to an LSP level w/ the orange pad...I was pretty surprised to say the least (I don't get that often w/ the other products I use). To make sure it was LSP ready and I wasn't missing out on an even better finish, I followed the MCC w/ a round of SMR and it looked the same...so the entire vehicle was done w/ MCC only. A few areas needed a second hit with the MCC, but not many. :)

Here is the rear passenger side quarter panel before/afters:

The products have working properties like an OHC and SSR-2.5 combo. The working time seemed to be about 60-70% of Optimum compounds, but the MCC had very similar cut to OHC. Dusting was slight to moderate (but much less than PB polishes that I have used). The moderate dusting only started after the pad began to cake w/ product...and that took a while. Removal after breakdown was fairly easy. Slight smearing happened sometimes and a quick spray of QD resolved that (much easier to remove than Optimum IMHO). I only brushed out the 5" pad 2x during the first half of the vehicle. I switched to a fresh pad after that.

After the pad was initially loaded w/ product, only two small pea sized drops were used per section (~2'x2' area).

I'm going to try these products out on a harder paint tomorrow (my winter car...1992 honda accord...very similar red color). I know the paint is harder because I've tried polishing most of it already w/ OHC, SSR-3, yellow/orange LC pads, etc and only got rid of holograms and swirling...but tons of scratches and marring remain that wasn't touched. We'll see if MCC is up to the challenge!

Ive been telling you guys for months (Actually me and Bob) that these are underated polishes.....Although I havent experienced any dusting issues as paradigm has......Both compounds finish out very nicely.
