I will be buying a PC shortly. Some lake county pads a little later. I already got, however a Chicago electric rotary. I learned by reading that the included "wool" pads are a NO NO with any tool.
A good chance to practice with the rotary in an oxidized car will be present next weekend. However, I only have what came with the rotary (wool and terry bonnets). In addition, I have a yellow foam turtle wax bonnet. It is a soft plush bonnet.
Just for curiosity, how abbrasive should I consider this bonnet? Cutting, polishing, finish? I assume that no mater how mild the foam may be, a rotary is a rotary.... the only difference wil be how fast.
What can you tell me?
Thanks
Alex
