I just purchased some floor mats for my 90 Reatta...the mats are original OEM dove gray.
I have cleaned them 3 times. They had some ground in clay colored (orangish brown) dirt embedded. I initially use a red industrial soap and then an oxygen general purpose soap.
Each time that I have cleaned the mats they come out a little cleaner but still retain the clay colorde dirt. After they are almost dry I can take a light colored / white rag and rub the carpet and get dirt off. I have use a high pressur nozzel on the hose to rinse AND I have rinsed very well but the dirt remains..... ?
Can someone tell me please what I am doing wrong here...and if there is a better cleaner to use?
Sincere thanks,
