FK425, OCW, Clearkote Quik shine, or adams detail spray

"OCW" is a spray wax

425 is a qd

i believe QS and Adams are both QD(have not used)

again it depends on what your want ....but i would go for OCW

After a wash: 425

OCW is a spray wax, which could also be used once a month to maintain a layer of protection.

Adam's has a bit more cleaning power than 425, which gives it a bit of an advantage for general use.

425 is my preference for QD , if cleaning ability is a factor which it is for me try some FK 146 .

I also the other product's you mentioned and all are nice , depends what you want

No, OCW is fine after every wash just make sure you get the panels *perfectly* clean during washing, the other ones are better if you leave a little dirt behind and want to reduce drying-induced marring.

OCW is a wax. use it once a month. Can only use it when your car is clean. it don't have cleaning propertise like 425. you can use 425 after your weekly wash.. or your car is very lightly dusted...

I love Clearkote's Quickshine. I haven't used the others and it appears that FK 425 is the flavor of the week and I almost purchased some the other day and then I realized, Quickshine has been perfect for me and saw no reason to change. I think any of the QD's you mentioned would be good choices though.

FK 425, quik shine is more of a polish enhancer than a QD

Prima slick though is better again.

425 is absoulutely one of the top three detailing products I have ever used and you should see the cabinet of half used products I have at least a dozen different brands. I had a black daily driver so I probably cleaned and evaluated products with far far to much regularity.

anyhoo...

425 for me is like putting a car cover on the car. It won't make you say "OH MY GOD WHAT!!"

But it will preserve that 10/10's looks you see after you just finished that 2 hour detailing session for a ridiculus amount of time. There are a couple of proucts, not many, that will produce a similar slickness but FK have low cost and cheap shipping and you can buy a gallon of it making it even more cost effective.

After a wash I would spray on Optimum spray wax, two applications for full coverage. And then one application of 425. Right now I'm using Aqua wax which is also very cheap for the EXCELLENT results under my 425. Make sure you use the short side of the MF to avoid streaking because 425 is a very thick liquid.

Which is one of the reasons I don't care for it. Griot's Speed Shine is also very thick, but I can use it however I want, with whatever towel I want, over whatever I want, and it will never streak. I cannot get 425 to wipe clean for me no matter what I try, and trust me, I'm pretty well versed in QD useage. There have been others who have not cared for 425. I'm not trying to talk anyone out of using it... some very reputable people on the board liked it. For me, however, I didn't care for it. Either way, it's not a big deal, just an opinion.

If you're looking for a pretty much "fool-proof" QD, and not a spray wax/booster, I would recommend the Adam's. Nice scent, can use on a black car, in the sun, and end streak free. Also has some lubrication and can be used when the car is a little dusty (or if you didn't get the car quite clean in a spot). Little bit pricey, though.
