Could someone give me some insight on the comparisons of the two? I already have S&G. Seen people really like 425 and seem to love it...Please give me your opinions...
Also...is the FK100 really that good? Is it like the UPP spray sealant?
What can pink wax be compared to?
I expect Greg Cavi to reply...
Thanks in advance
#425 leaves a very high gloss and gives the paint a slick feel (so does S&G). I use it on my computer monitor and TV, and have noticed the 'anti static' properties. If you live in an area with high pollen, dust/wind, it might help reduce the dust buildup, but it's not going to prevent it.
A few things that I like about #425 over S&G (and I like both products).
-425 does better at cleaning glass (i.e. it has mild cleaning properties)
-higher gloss/slickness
-Does not streak at any temperature
-$25 a gallon, makes it hard to pass up.
Pink Wax x 2 is as durable as many sealers that I've used, and really makes your paint pop. I don't use carnubas often, but when I do, it's usually Pink Wax.
FX-100 is a very good spray sealer too. In the summer, I prefer to apply it with a finishing pad until it almost disappears. When it's hot out, it tends to 'stick' to the paint, and can be a PITA to remove.
During the Fall/Winter/Spring, Mist on, wipe off. Very easy to use and it offers decent protection (6+ weeks in my experience). My neighbor likes to maintain his vehicle with #425 and FX-100 after weekly washes, and it holds that 'just detailed look'.
If you're thinking about trying the FK line up I would suggest the sampler kit. This will give you a good overview of the line without investing a lot of $$.
