Hi guys and girls. I was hoping someone can chime in regarding Zymol Vintage. I just ordered a 22oz. container of it today and am excited to try it out. I saw a video of a guy applying stuff by hand and it seemed like it did a good job. Anyone used it or have experience with the product?

It would be a good exercise to compare it to a few waxes, so as you would be assured that you would be able to see the benefit of the wax.

So if you haven't observed a few finishes against a Zymol and/or EGZVintage, take some opportunity to go head to head with a few lsps.

I can't say enough good things about Vintage, but it is important that you experience the results for yourself. Post some pics when you get a chance.

I think the Vintage is the cheapest wax ever because you spend 2 grand once on it and the refills are free for life. :)

Do you have any detailing experience? If not, let the Vintage sit on the shelf until you can compliment it with propper prep, otherwise you're just wasting it.

Then again, you could very well be an excellent detailer. I just can't imagine that Vintage is 100+ times better then what most of us are currenty using.

btw your stable is very impressive, you must have a very nice job :)

I don't have a job. Haven't had one in 7 years. Got any positions open? :)

That is one of the reasons I actually bought it is to fill some time playing with the cars. I do have alot of experience as I have detailed a few hundred cars. Thank you for the kind words. Here is my favorite one. :)

 I will be ordering the vintage soon as well for a $1 million+ street rod project we are building right now. I have to detail it... :nervous: :scared:

and welcome to autopia!

$2200 for 22 oz huh? Do they give a seperate tube of KY or is it mixed in with the product? It is amazing how much that name is worth! Not meaning to step on anyones toes and I know you get what you pay for, but that is just rediculous. I can't see where that product will do anything better than some of the cheaper products. Anyway, just my $.02 I guess it is worth what someone will pay for it. Nice lambo though :)

if you have a secret that will end my employment and begin my lamborghini driving, please share.

That lambo must be a blast to drive.

According to this theory, any of the high end waxes would work the same as TW or any other OTC brand. Or that driving a Pinto is the same as driving a Mercedes. Sometimes you get what you pay for. It is a different look and it looks gorgeous when done.

On my black BMW which has swirl marks I will do the following:

-Wash and clay

-Polish with orange pad and DA using Menzerna 106ff

-Polish with white pad and DA using Menzerna final polish

-Clean with zymol HD using hand applicator

-top off with vintage wax applied with hands

If it all comes together well I'll move to the Lambo only claying, HD Cleanse and wax. No need to polish as it is a new car. The BMW already has 8,000 miles and is black. The Ranger Rover and Lexus will follow but no rush as they barely get used.

I'll have a friend post pictures. :)

Can't wait to see what this Vintage looks like...

You should do maybe a side by side with a cheaper wax next to Vintage. And see how big of a difference it makes.:waxing:

BY THE WAY: Where did you get your Zymol Products?

No job, and all those nice whips? What gives? Lottery, retirement, sell business? I hope I'm not offending you, but I'm just curious. Very nice stable!
