This is my first post on Autopia...
TWCNY,
The Gallardo is a great color combination, and is the first time i have seen one in Red.
You are a man of taste!
Regarding the Menzerna, you may find that you won't need the Final Finish because 106FF is primarily aimed as a one step product. I personally use PO85RD, and if areas need more work prior, PO 85RD3.01 but i am not sure of the availablity in the US.
I found that all the Zymol waxes applied by hand take a little getting used to until you learn what you can achieve with the product.
Using your palm for application seems to get the best heat/friction into the product and makes it stretch further, or the surface being warm to start with.
On plastic panels you tend to consume a lot of product because you cannot keep the heat in the panel.
Vintage stated to layer after a week and i would strongly agree with that and the depth will increase further and a car such as the Gallardo in Red will glow beyond what you can imagine.
Vintage,
You mention Zymol Solaris.
Have you seen this or is it an urban legend?:nixweiss
To those who question the use of such a wax...:wall
A few years ago i was on the hunt for some new Carnauba based wax so started looking around to see what i could find.
This is when the detail bug bit me pretty hard!
I knew of Zymol but there had been various distributor problems through the years here in Australia so it was hard to find someone who sold it.
Zymol used to produce a sample kit that had 3 small pots of their Estate waxes and i purchased this just to see what top dollar product was like with the full intention of keeping it for special projects.
Well a lot of people state that Carnauba waxes give that jelly like appearance, and that in the case of metallic colors the flakes loose their clarity.
Now that may, and i agree is true with cheaper Carnauba waxes containing miniscule amounts of Carnauba like Megs #26.
But now i am comparing Cubic Zirconias with Diamonds.
