Final Polish-review

Scott,

Would it be safe to use VM and FP on a freshly re-painted car?

I have awhile to wait before I can apply any wax.

Thanks

Final Polish is said to be 'body shop' safe, but I would contact Car Polishes to make sure you can use it on fresh paint. Vanilla Moose does have protective properties, so I wouldn't use it until the paint is completely cured.

Thanks Scott.

It's only been a week since the car was painted and the only thing I have done to date was to apply a layer of IHG.

The car looks great and I sure don't want to mess up a new paint job.

Think I will just have to force my self to be patient and wait till the paint is fully cured in about 6 more weeks.

Final polish is used by most body shops out here in staten island, once it is taken out of the spray booth and baked you can use it.

I use it all the time when i do work on fresh painted cars. even on cars that are painted the same day.

 Thanks for clarifying that for me.

Scott,

Would you put Carnuba wax over the moose wax? I'm thinking AIO, moose wax, carnuba. Correct me if this is somewhat redundant. I love my Klasse and I would much rather use that then the VM.

Any advice?

I'd probably use AOI, Vanilla Moose and a carnuba. Moose Wax has chemical cleaners which may remove any filling properties of AIO. I think you would also be very pleased with Final Polish instead of AOI, but I'd wait until you run out before trying something else.

I certainly hope you are not insinuating I photoshop anything I post. Not only would I not have the first clue how to do it, but I would never misrepresent my work like that. I can send you the original prints I posted in this thread if you would like.

so you're saying to leave the moose wax out??? also... vanilla moose would replace the polish/glaze products??

Yeah, if you are going to lay down AOI first, I wouldn't use Moose Wax on top of it. I use VM as a glaze in place of Meguiars Hand Polish or S100 SEC. I like the look and ease of use.
