While, I did the hardest part of buying a new car, convinced the wife it may be a good idea, can you say gullible? lol. Heres the deal and question, 2008 Mitsubishi evo, with 1000 km on it, never titled, so the dealer says its new. Seems like a demo to me. Sitting on their lot for a year and a half. So rather than talk to the sales rep in the showroom, he wouldn't give me a price on the spot, so I gave him my email address and told him to send me the details. He came back with the BS about how they would save me a bundle by taking $1000 off the MSRP and a great deal on financing. While, I would not be financing, paying for it outright, and was in contact with a dealer in Ontario, I'm in Nova Scotia, btw, who would sell me the same loaded MR model for under $42000. The dealer in Dartmouth offered me the great price of about $49000, before tax. Also btw the car in Ontario had 10 km on it, thats what I consider new. So my question, how low should the dealer go on this car, or with 100 km on it, should I not even bother. Also in 2 trips to the dealer, not another customer in sight either time.
