Don't use Zaino CS on Your Windows

So last night it was raining for the first time since I put the CS on.

Doesn't rain much is California :)

Anyway the CS fogged my windows BAAAAAAAAD. The windshiled was very hard to see out of.

I can't seem to get the stuff off either doh!

So I guess this weekend I'll have to figure out a way to remove it from the windows.

Anyone have any suggestions for removing this stuff?

I tried NXT Glass cleaner but that didn't do the trick.

So it fogged the inside of your windows or the outside. Did you use it on the inside of the windows?

I have used it on the exterior glass of 5 cars, including the wifes car. I have not tried it on the windshield. No problems on the wifes car.

Was the clear seal totally dried prior to the problem? I have had no adverse affects with applying to to windows, but would am interested in the problem. You say the window is fogged up, but is it more of a haze?

Why in the heck would you put it on your windows? Isn't it a paint sealant....

lots of us use a sealant on the windows(i use the klasse twins & AW)

it works better than rain-x and last months not weeks:chuckle:

The CS went on about two days before so yes it was completely dry.

It wasn't a haze... basically because it was raining I think the CS somehow was trapping moisture and causing the windshield to fog... that's my guess but I'm no scientist so I'm not sure :)

I'll do the IPA 50/50 thanks man.

Oh and yes I have used Zaino on my windows before with no problem at all. But I also put it on the windows because they state specifically that CS can be used on windows ;)

You probably applied too much, as is easy to do with Zaino. You can fix it by applying Z6 or Z8 or another QD and it will remove the excess and probably solve the problem completely.

What the....?? I have 3 coats of Z-CS including my windows. It rained everytime I used Z-CS and it didn't fog up or anything. That's wierd. I think Z-CS is excellent for the windows.

I have had some problems before in the past with other sealants and even rain-x and the problem was actually poor wiper blades or a cheaper brand rubber that will not work with products on windshields. I changed the wipers and it was like new with the water beading properly!

Was there another product already on the window? I remember a post warning of a similar problem with they applied RainX and Aquapel on the same windshield. I can't remember which was applied first, but they tried applying one on a windshield that already had the other and it caused hazing.

Don't know what it is... but as for applying too much I followed the instructions to a "T"... and I also did a Z8 wipedown after.

The only other product I've used on the windows has been NXT Glass cleaner and Z6.

I posted this because I wanted others to benefit from my problem and hopefully avoid it. If you don't have that problem then that's great.

I didn't post to argue over the validity of my claim. To me it's fairly simple:

Before CS- No fogging

After CS- fogging

I will not use it on the windows anymore... but that's me.

Perhaps I shouldn't have posted.
