Don't use Zaino CS on Your Windows

I got a reply from the owner of the durango that I detailed yesterday. He said no fogging at all on the rear side window after raining early today. The durango sits outside 24/7.

Many people probably do not realize that 24/7 Customer service exist at Zaino.

What does that mean? If you call the tech line at 2AM Sal answers from his bed? Or has he been to that clinic in the movie Multiplicity and he and his clone work in shifts?

People like to say "give Sal a call" but I'm pretty sure if someone answers the phone at 2AM it won't be him.

LOL, but don't be shocked if he does pickup at that time. :)

I have called before at weird hours when "normal" people won't be working and Sal picks up. (Sunday, late at night, holidays) With that said, if you leave a message, you should get your call returned by the next day.

That's the siliiest thing I've heard today... maybe all weekend. In reality it's better to first call the manufacturer of any product to ask what happened. If you get no satisfaction then put up a post about it, if they get to the bottom of your question and you feel the need to let everyone know then post it by all means. Except now the post can reflect the problem, the apparent cause of the problem, user or product, and the solution. THis way everyone has the right info and can benefit from it.

why is it silly because it's Zaino?

he was not bashing the product, just posting what happened to him

as is done on the board 100's of times a week!

this board is a great place to get info from a lot of people

about a lot of products why is this any different?:nixweiss

This is interesting... I posted twice before about my intentions for the post.

I wrote that it was not my intention to badmouth, or reflect negatively on Zaino or CS in any way.

I wanted to try and help others before they did the same thing and perhaps have the same problem.

Since it IS a new product I thought I could be of some help. Obvisouly my good intentions fell on deaf ears. Or the people complaining in this thread just didn't bother to read the thread entirely.

And I've never had a problem with any of the Zaino products so NO I didn't know anything about a 24/7 number because I've never had to use it... and for that matter my intention of the post wasn't to find out what the problem was. It was to try and help others or prevent others from having the same problem.

I've been using Zaino now for a little over a year and have heard the stories of the "Zaino Zealots" but never really experienced it until now.

Believe me I will never post again on this matter or any matter regarding Zaino or any other product.

I am not sure why you would not want to find out why your problem happened. If we can help you figure out why it happened, then that would prevent the problem from happening to others in the future.

As others have already suggested would you consider trying CS again, this time on one of your rear side windows?

Also if I am reading your post correctly, was it only the windshield that fogged up? Was CS applied to the other glass surfaces as well? Did the other glass surfaces also fog up?

Thanks for your time.

Don't feel that way, continue to post your questions that's what this forum is all about.

You have to realize that since Zaino is considered the number 1 product line ,some are waiting in the wings just ready to spew negativity about any little Zaino mishap. Some havn't even used Zaino ,but negatively comment on its usage. If your are going to use Zaino get used to it. Once the copy cats start to surface you will see what I mean. If some other company besides Zaino came out with CS it would be a totally different situation.

Oh. I see.

I propose a "Before You Post" checklist,

"Is this for a product?"

"Will you be posting a positive or negative experience today?"

"If you answered negative to the above question, have you called the manufacturer?"

"If you answered no to the above question, please call the manufacturer, try the product again, and repeat these steps.

I don't believe the original thread starter had any ill intentions so cut him some slack. The difference is that when you call a mega conglomeration like Megs or TW you get some telephone operator who usually doesn't know anything specific about the products(I know from experience). If you call Zaino you can talk directly to the source and get real answers. Sal will tell you exactly what the problem is and how to resolve it.

I think the OP has a valid reason to post here. If he just called customer service and never posted, a lot of us would never know about a potential problem or solution. That is exactly the reason these forums exist, so we can share our experiences. A lot of times people with real world experience can be much more helpful than any customer service. I admit that the thread title could have been worded differently though.

BonAmi Cleanser is a recommended product for removing Rain-X from windshields. You might give it a try to remove the CS. If it works for you, it's a quick, cheap and easy solution. Good luck.

C'mon, everyone, can we stop with the Product Wars? It is possible to have Zaino threads that don't spiral into the void; we've had them in the past. In general, I've always been impressed at how relatively sane all of Autopia is when it comes to Zaino (and other popular products that people get passionate about), but the last couple of weeks have really been getting out-of-control.

Please, make my job easy: stay civil, don't bait others, don't bash products, don't be a zealot, etc., etc. The best thing you can do if someone gets confrontational is to take the high road, and don't respond in kind.

Thanks,

Tort
