Does anyone else not like the new layout?

Honestly, I don't care about the appearance of the site, or the color scheme. I do care about functionality, and it takes so long to get a page to pop up after clicking a link that I'm all but done with coming here.

It seems faster this morning, and I'm not getting lame error messages that tell me to wait 10 seconds when I click the "What's New?" link from the main page. I hope this is a sign of positive change.

It is. A server move has sped things up considerably.

What I find absolutely amazing is the lack of response from Admin/Mods as to what they plan to do about the valid concerns many long time member have expressed, and what they are doing to rectifie the situation or do they plan on doing nothing.

Me personally, I have lurked here for 2+ years and only recentally signed up when I saw a poster getting terrible advice and I couldn't hold back any longer.

The new layout actually doesn't bother me so much other then it takes a computer engineer to find "todays post".

I don't beleive using GoDaddy as your host will keep you at #1, I don't care how hot Danica is. She's not worth watching this site Jump-the-Shark over

Agreed. This is my number one concern.

I also like the old layout better.

Was there a problem with it? Why did it need "fixed"?

The site has been moved from GoDaddy. Personally, I use GoDaddy all the time, and have never had an issue. But, things do happen, and in this case, a web host migration fixed it up.

As someone who went away when the upgrade took place because of the look can honestly say it still bugs my eyes looking at this site. The bugs of the site also didn't keep me around so not sure if that has changed for the better. I have been browsing around the last 2 days and it is obvious the volume of content being posted is down.

I bet if the new features were added to the old look and layout, it would have been a home run with the members.

My suggestion to fix the ugliness is to darken up the color behind peoples profile info in a thread a few shades put that color behind peoples reply and put the white behind the profile. Reading on white backgrounds has always been a killer on eyes and thus why most forums don't have white backgrounds behind text.

I am adjusting to it but you have the option for classic view

Alright after looking around I can not find where you can switch it at. I am guessing this is somewhere in settings but I have yet to locate it.

That guy was a spammer that just put in nonsense posts, don't pay any attention to him, he's been banned already.

ok. Well I still think there should be a Option to switch the layout! :)

The lack of a forum jump at the bottom of most pages (especially after replying to a thread) just kills the speed you can browse the site at.

I am actually starting to get use to it, but for a noob they may find it to confusing and just go elsewhere

There's a "quick navigation" which is the forum jump?

Personally, I hate it. Wish they had left it alone, but that's just me. May get used to it in time, may not. Not posting like I used to six, seven years ago anyway.

That's just been added recently, used to only be there at the bottom of some forums and not at all after you reply to a thread.
