Detailing Supplies Organization (pics please!)

I emailed you JGV I will probley buy some stuff next week when i try out the menzerna products this weekend i need to get some clay first though cause my paint feels like wood.

Are you going to use the rotary? Cause after half bottle of FP testing (while using) I've found it's not tricky anymore. It's great with the PC and a Megs Finishing Pad, you just work it at speed of 3 - 3,5 till it's almost gone, then dust it, works great! As easy to remove as DACP when correctly used.

By the way, try to top the FP surface with UPP, it's like spreading butter on hot bread, and easy on, easy off. Great combo!

Yep im gonna use a Rotary Makita 9227C with CMA Yellow and White Pads to remove heavy Swirls and scratchs of the hood of black Car.

Steps

1.Dawn Wash

2.Clay Bar Full Car

3.Menzerna IP

4.Menzerna FP

5.Klasse AIO

6.S100

If I may, let me advice this:

- IP w/ yellow pad

- IP w/ white pad

- FP w/ grey pad (slow speed), though I'd do one pass with IP and grey pad before this.

- Skip the AIO, use S100 direct. I'm sure AIO will clean some of what FP puts, the FP is some kind of prep to Menzernas wax, PO73.

By the way, those eavy swirls and scratches should be taken care of with the S034, the Fast Cut. The IP is too mild for that.

I See the car has alot fo swirls if you look very close the car almost looks Grey but its really black. Like I Said i will see this weekend and then order some fast cut from you thanks for the tips it should take car of alot of the Swirls the part that has most of the swirls is the hood and Front Fenders the Doors dont really have any.

Oh Also how is Menzernas Wax ? that stuff is insane i heard its like a synthetic Carnuba of some sort ? and how much is that ?

Is 20.00 Euro around 18.00 USD ?

The Menzerna Sealant Wax is as easy to use as AIO. It's supposed to be a blend of synthetic with carnauba. What i love about the Menzernas is the new car finish, no more gloss than that. If you want a 'as good as new' look it's the right bet.

About the Euro, well, it's worth about 1.18 USD, meaning € 20.00 should be about $23.00 USD. Don't know how much is it for Paypal, though, you can check on their website.

Oh Ok how much for the Menzerna Carnuba/Synthetic Wax I will probley order.

1.Menzenrna Fast Cut

1.Menzerna Synthetic/Carnuba Wax

1.Menzerna Finial Polish

I dont think it matters with Paypal you just send me a Request Money Url and I pay in USD and you get in Euro.

I just organized my supply shelves, so I thought I'd post here. Forgive the poor picture quality, it was almost 8:30 pm and my camera doesn't handle low light too well.

My stuff sits in tote trays, one for interiors, one for exteriors.

MFs and Terries share a box, as does the PC and its pads.

Third tray holds all the paint chip equipment.

Absorber and drying towels sit in a milk crate, which doubles a seat/stool .. depending what I'm doing lol.

Hose has a natty reel thingy as its pretty long to reach across parking lots, while the final box holds all the other junk like adaptors, extension cords etc etc. These are all topped off with the vac and a ladder for lifted trucks etc.

I like to keep it compact as it all has to fit in the back of an Explorer.

P.S. Why some folks feel the need to buy 20-odd buffing pads and hundreds of foam applicators is wayyyy beyond me.

I'n neat, tidy and organised, love clean cars but thats just ...... ill!

:nono

:D :D :D

Today I've decided to clean the shelfs and then reorganize my suplies. Took some pics too.

Nice Collection how much do you want for the Menzerna Synthetic/Carnuba Blend I will probley order some along with Fast Cut and Finial Polish.

Nice collection JGV, you look like your at about the same stage as me, a good selection of products to suit most occasions!

Im working both mobile and from my garage so I have to keep everything ready to go.

I wont leave the truck packed overnight and I have to be at our contracted site by 8am, so anything that makes it easy to load up is invaluable for when im bleary-eyed and caffiene deficient :P

*shakes head*

Still cant get over that photo of 20+ unused, still-wrapped Megs pads .. try using one and how crap the velcro backing is and you'll be askin for a refund lol.

Actually, if anyone has recommendations for a better velcro system manufacturer I'm all ears.

The price of each bottle is the same, no matter what's in there.

Oh Ok thanks,What is in that Bottle on your compounds, and polishs picture it has a little palm tree on has kind of a peach color to it i seen that stuff before how do you like also Do you think that menzernas fast cut will be tough enough to remove deeper swirls and small scratchs the surface on this hood has swirls but if you look close its all these small scratchs thanks.

How many Meguiar's pads have you used? How long (years) have you been detailing in and around Meguiar's pads?

I have used Meguiar's pads for years and have NEVER had a velcro failure on any of them! Perhaps it is your backing plate that is giving you the problems not the pads! Or, perhaps you are just throwing them into the washing machine. If it is the latter, then failure will occur on ANY pads. I wash them by hand, and let air dry; no problems! Nor have I had problems with my 3M pads!

This thread is simply about showing what people have and the choices that they make. It is not anyone's place to sit in judgement of others and their choices.

If it has a palm tree then it's one of ClearKote products, either Moose Wax or Vanilla Hand Glaze.

I've removed most swirls and scratches with the Fast Cut, only once I had to use something stronger, like the Presta Ultra Cutting Creme, but this was on an Alfa Romeo that was in VERY bad condition, and I wanted to do it faster.

Ic I will Try to get a pic of how bad the swirls are and you can tell me how is Vanilla hand Glaze and Moose Wax ?

I will be back in a couple of minutes with some pics

I've gone through about 40 vehicles with this set of pads.

The problem began after the first couple of washes.

I originally thought it was the backing pad, but Jngrbrd bought some Megs pads to use on a non-Megs backing pad and has the same problem.

My pads get HAND washed with liquid soap in WARM water after every use, so no, it's not the washing machine thats doing it.

Bizarrely Mike Philiips actually admitted the Megs velcro system 'Wasn't very good' and told me to keep in touch as they're developing a newer, more secure system.

Please feel free to explain that one out .... I'm all ears.

P.S. I dont remember mentioning 3M tho I'm sure I'll be trying them once these Megs ones are worn out.
